ok, I want to dye my hair again, but I wanted to know if there is a way to do it with out having to bleach it, because last time I had to keep dyeing it or it would be the bleached color, so I had to cut it after a wile when I didn't want it to be dyed, instead of just letting it were out....my hair is like a brownish black, if I was going to dye it (I was only going to put some strikes) either blue or green would it show up at all with out bleaching, I don't need it that brite, but I still want to see it? which to you think will show up more? I don't want to go out and buy it if it's not going to work...
sorry to be the barrer of bad news, but it's not going to work if your hair is that dark. even if you want it to just show up a little bit. bleaching it is about the best way to go if you want something like that. If you just want streaks, just bleach what you want. If I understood correctly, you didn't like keeping up with dying it last time when it returned to the bleach color? Then just dye it back brown. It'll work perfectly fine. best of luck
I have dark hair and I try dying it w/out bleaching and it didn't really work. It made some very subtle highlights (when I was in the sun) and it faded very quickly. So last time I bleached the streaks and got tired of it, I just used the Natural Instincts and for some reason (I guess because the bleached hair is so porous?) the color never faded and just blended it all back together. So I agree with teeny, just color it all one color when you get sick of it.
Be careful with hair bleaching... I bleached mine about a month ago.. and it fell out... I had onely bleatched it a few time and my hair just broke off... I now have very very tiny bangs....
