Do I have to be a rastafarian in order to dread my hair? What if I just don't care about what other people think? I am just tired of dealing with my hair all the time...I just want to let it go...

No you dont hafta be rasta to have dreads. And you dont hafta have dreads to be rasta. The reason most rasses have dreads is because it is a seperation against society. And it takes you back to the roots of man. It is not natural to comb and cut your hair, there are even bible verses that back this up

Rastafari associate dreadlocks with a spiritual journey that one takes in the process of locking their hair (growing dreadlocks). It is taught that patience is the key to growing dreadlocks, which is a journey of the mind, soul and spirituality

You understand life, no one can deny your truth. By embracing the dread you make a stand for what is real in the world, which is the importance of your experience of life
    so love...
