hey guys...so im kind of wirried, i'm pretty sure i skipped a period...so i obvioulsy think I'm pregnant. So If i Am( i realize i still have to check) I'll get an abortion, and I know its illegal in my state to do so without parental permission. Am i alowed to go to another state near by that does not require this law?, and are there any ways around it?...and is there any way to take care of some of the cost, like since I'm under 18 or ne thing?, thanks guys, sorry for bothering with questions i should prolly know!

Kentucky.I heard Kentucky will perform one without parental consent.

HOWEVER. Because abortion is not something easy to go through and there is a less-then 1% chance of something going wrong,,but still a chance...you may want to involve your parents.

If you know that they'd support your decision to abort, I'd talk to them indefinetely.

Yes they will be angry...but only for a bit. In the end, they still love you.

Yes they will be disappointed. they probably expected more responsibility from you. But like the anger issue..they will get over it.

However, if they say that you can't have the abortion...consider their reasons and make them understand what they are demanding you to do. To become a teenage mother. they will be asking you to sacrifice alot for the sake of their own morals. Remind them of the successful future you could have without a child and that because you made a mistake...doesn't mean you should pay for it with your entire life.

You need to do what's best for you and no one else. It's your body, your future, and your choice. Women fought long and hard for that choice...don't abuse it or take it lightly.

Also, in the state of Ohio...16 is the legal age to emancipate yourself. If you really want the abortion and your parents are dead set against it...you may want to consider that option.

But I strongly urge that you involve your parents..even if it doesn't seem like it will work out in your favor. You need to sit down with them and make a list of pros and cons of you being a mother...or heck..even being pregnant at your age.

I suggest that before even thinking about where you will get $400 dollars for an abortion.

FYI...I realize I just sounded like an ad for pro-abortion but the reality is this...there are too many teen mothers right now. And those teen mothers usually end up straining everyone else around them. Babies are not dolls that you can dress up and put on a shelf when you are bored with them. they are living individuals who need 100% care and love from you, their mother. They are(and I have 2 kids btw)a deficit and stressful to highest degree. You cannot escape them if you decide to keep them and you cannot treat them half-assed because you might miss out on something. But when you are ready to be a mommy...it's the greatest job in the world.

Too many babies are abandoned or neglected by their teenaged parents already, we don't need anymore.Heck too many babies are done like-wise by "adult" parents.

I think you should terminate now while you are 16 and when you are older and more financially secure...you may pop out all the kids you want.

You sound like you already want the abortion..which is usually the surest sign..that you aren't ready yet to be a mother.

I never understood why states that don't allow women under 18 to have an abortion w/o parental consent, think that these same girls are ready to become parents?!?

And hun, you need to take a pregnancy test. If you are NOT pregnant, PLEASE keep track of your cycle, get on some sort of birth control!

    hey sweetheart.....

go buy a home pregnancy kit as soon as you can, and then go to your school counsellor or a women's help agency in your town and ask them for help and information. she'll be able to give you better direction; don't be embarrassed to ask. don't forget that it's common for girls to be a few days late for their periods for no reason, so you might not be pregnant. it sounds like you're pretty sure though; have you had unprotected sex?

    good luck hon,

    peace :)

Well i live in Australia and i had an abortion about a year ago... I dont wanna wprry you or anything but it was the hardest ordeal of my life... just the guilt i went through was unbearable.... if it wasnt for my friends i wouldnt be here today. However that was only the half pf it.... bout 4 months ago i got an infection from the aborotion... infections are alot more likly then you think...especially with girls under the age of 17. If i could go back i would have told the father to fuck off that i was going to have it. but thats all in the past now just gotta keep living

if ya wanna know more you can PM or email me i dont mind

just consider all your options. I didnt tell my parents until after, i dont think they even cared...

that's good..... if you got your period. is sounds a little iffy still; maybe still a good idea to invest in a home pregnancy test?

    hope everything's cool though,

    peace, :)

If you are pregnant (and I hope you aren't) go to Planned Parenthood. VERY often they can help you obtain services. Also, all states allow you to see a judge, who will most likely OK the procedure without parental permission. Think about your decision, but make sure if you are pregnant or not first.

I hope you are going to be OK.
