I don't get it... This is a haven for hippies, is it not? This is a place to discuss, laugh, debate and find yourself right? Then why is their so much constant criticism? I look around this site and in nearly every thread people are being hacked on and abused! So why the fuck do people on here call themselves 'hippies' (aka, people for peace, love, no war, mung bean eating, tye dyed brothers and sisters) when all they do is argue, judge and make fun of their fellow 'family'? I'm sick of going to a thread and always finding some sort of argument in them. Don't get me wrong...I love this place...but why are their so many 'disagreements' in what should be a loving community where we should all feel comfortable to be ourselves? Does anyone else feel this way...or am I the only one?
Hmmm. yes there is a hatred once in awhile but thats just what we hippy folk are. Out to get our views out and fed. Enjoy it.
i think it's because people come on here so they can feel like they're a hippie because they might want to be with the hippie 'crowd'. but they don't really accept the philosophy that goes along with it so they're just assholes.
Thats part of it... but take a bunch of people and put em together in a forumw here they discuss their innermost philosophical beliefs and of course you are going to have disagreements Cant expect everyone to agree.
Yes i agree with you. I havent been around long so i havent seen to much hate fights but if i did it would sadden me. Its fine to agree with everything but its not right to give eachother sh!t about it. its hard to always agree with everyone... ..
That's what I have wondered for a LONG time. Which is why I created my own peaceful forums. http://www.PeaceForums.tk
Hippies can be divided into two groups: those who understand, think and care about the world, and those who just to it to rebel, be cool, be original, or any other reason. So, the thinkers are bound to think of ideas opposing one another's, and so they will argue. When thinkers meet the "rebels with no cause" arguments arise from their often conflicting ideas. When rebels meet rebels, they argue for the fun of it. And so we have Hipforums.
i dont think y ou can divide hippies into a group becuase hippy is just a stereotyping word and there really is no such thing as a hippy, there is just people...
That is right, and I don't think most people here label themselves like that, (except for the young hippies, no offense) consider themselves to be hippies, or in some cases even agree with ''hippie philosophy'' some people are just here for the hell of it, this is not a gated community, and just like any community you have aggressive people, you have crazy people, you have nice people, you have smart people, you have not so smart people. etc.
of course being a hippie is a lifestyle. I don't think that the first hippies lived with no fighting and critisizing others or whatever because well, the human being is known as a social organsim, and sometimes we need that just to progress in life and be better persons, don't you think?
discuss, laugh, debate and find yourself right? We debate, in order to educate. The greatest thing about thinkers is we all see the same thing in a different way
conflict, debating, disagreeing......... ok. But critising people...picking them up on things and mocking them??? Is that really necassary....?
cause we're not clones,If there was no disagreement there would be no changes and little point in being here.
I agree with that i really don't see why if someone has an opinion that someone should criticise, why can't they just disagree or somethin and leave at that rather than taking the piss.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: sometimes people need to try and see that fine line between "free speech" and just being rude. Someone says that this is a free speech area, and suddenly, some people think that they have the run of the place and can make people feel like crap cuz they don't like what that other person is saying. It's a total contradiction..... its like that person is saying, "yeah, it's free speech, but only if I like what you're saying."
