So last night I was with my girlfriend, and we were both pretty stoned, but somewhere along the way the condom came off on top of her and neither of us knew about it until it was too late! We went to the doctor this morning and she got a prescription for Plan B (levonorgestrel), but she's on antibiotics for a cold she had. I mean, this was just last night that we messed up, so I think we're taking care of it in time and everything, but I still have some concerns. I doubt I was really all that potent because: A) We were stoned B) I had already cum twice earlier in the day C) I had two shots of tequilla an hour before hand D) Stoners have low sperm counts E) I'm on lexapro and adderall and remeron, which all have sexual side-effects including impotence and/or a hard time maintaining an erection (that's when I think the little fucker slipped off.... I kinda had to take a minute to get it back up) F) She's kinda hairy... which I think means she's more likely to be infertile. G) She had her period like 5 or 6 days beforehand, but she only has it like once every three months, and it lasts a full 7-8 days. Are these good reasons to assume she's probably not pregnant, or would these significantly decrease her risk of getting pregnant? I mean... I hate to say it, but with all that coming into play, if she did end up pregnant then I doubt the child would survive until birth. I hate to sound so negative about this issue, but this is not what she needed right now. If she wanted to have a child, then that would be one thing, but she doesn't and I don't really believe it's my place to tell her whether or not I believe she should or shouldn't. It's her body and her life, and as a man I'll take responsibility for my actions and misactions if need be.
Hehe, I wouldn't get yourself too worried, my fiance and I don't use condoms although she uses birth control(pills). We have sex quite a bit, she has only been pregnant once about 2 years ago, but it ended in a miscarriage. :/ It's probably best that it happened that way though, neither of us were really prepared for it. I don't think the fact that you were stoned would have any effect on the outcome. We're also pretty stony most of the time. It is true that stoners have lower sperm counts, but don't let that give you a false sense of hope. Coming more than once in a day doesn't mean anything either, the sperm should be just as viable if not more since it would have been freshly created cells to replace the older, recently spent ones. I also don't think that the alcohol would do much either although it would help to retard the sperm a bit(I think). A great method of protection is water-based lube with spermacide in it. It is safe, non-toxic(to eat too) and adds to the experience rather than diminishing it, like most condoms seem to do. Unfortunately, having sex only about a week or two after her period is her MOST fertile time of the menstrual cycle. :/
Thanks you guys... I'm gonna try not to worry, but I guess it's kinda inevitable from time to time... I'll live either way, but man... this is just.... bleh.... Is there like a male sterility pill out there? I wanna be sterile till I'm 30!!!
Just curious though, what's this with the hairy woman thing? I've never heard that one before! I myself am not a hairy woman at all, and I can go weeks without having to shave because I just don't grow a whole lot of body hair fortunately. I am also extremely fertile. My husband and I can get pregnant at the drop of a hat, just one hit and we get preggo (we've been pregnant 4 times, 2 of which were miscarriages, but we have 3 children due to my last pregnancy being a set of twins) I also have an 80% chance of conceiving twins again due to my cycles spontaneously releasing more than one egg at a time. But I've never heard that being hairy or not hairy could affect things. Enlighten, if you will!
I also have never heard of such things... What does hairy have to do with it.... So do Italian have less children... cause they seem to have more body hair???? I dont get it
You know, if there isn't a male birth control pill (which to my knowledge there isn't one...yet), they really should invent one. I know that certain drugs, prescription and recreational, can lower sperm counts, but they should really make a birth control pill for males. That would be quite interesting.
I wouldn't worry. If you're that freaked out, go to the hospital with her and request a morning after pill. It works up to three days after. They can't question you about it/
BTW, I think he thought hairy womyn were less likely to be fertile because more testosterone usually means more hair. If she has a full beard, she probably isn't likely to pop a bunch of kids out, but I don't imagine she's that bad.
Lol... exactly... she has small boobs, and she's pretty hairy... she shaves tho. We're both pretty damn hairy tho... and she has irregular periods.... like once every three months, and it takes her 7-8 days to go through the process... i'm thinkin' that she's probably still got some of the hormones that prevent pregnancy right after her period floating around... not to mention she's been a nervous wreck. We did get the morning after pill, "Plan B" or levonorgestrel as the pharmacists call it. She took it within 12 hours of us slipping up... like 11 hours afterwards, but she's on this antibiotic (amoxycilin or whatever) and that might decrease it's effectiveness so we've been told. I hope she'll be okay.... man... i'm cuttin' these puppies out from between my legs and puttin' em in a jar till i'm 40!!!!
Try not to worry. I know it's much easier said than done, but from everything you've said, and the precautions that you've now taken, I think all will be fine for you two.
If you're in your 40s or 50s and have been a stoner since you were young, then yes, your sperm count may be affected. But at 21, you haven't been smoking long enough for the pot to have any effect on your sperm count. And body hair has absolutely nothing to do with fertility. Still, it's good that she decided to get Plan B, and kudos to you for wearing condoms. Just please don't rely on smoking pot as a contraceptive.
Do you have any idea how many times I've fucked my wife without any protection, and shes not on birth control..... yet we never seem to get pregnant. We both smoke alot of pot, so maybe its that, or else were just lucky, or else we are just not meant to have kids. I'd chill out about it tho.
Go buy a pregnancy test in a few days to be sure. They arent' very expensive (you can get them for 10bucks or less) and it's a good way to feel more comfortable about what's going on. Why does she cycle every three months? Is she on seasonale or depo or some sort of long-term birth control like that? It sounds like something she should talk to her doctor about to me.
And if the pills made our weiners bigger, and get us into shape. Or..I can't remember what all the pill does for a woman, but a lot of good things.
lol.... well, i dunno if pot lowers sperm count or not really since i'm not a scientist or anything, but i've been smokin' now for like.... 9 years or so... shit! I guess time kinda flies by... anyways... her cycle is just naturally like that for some reason... it's always been that way and I can't say I don't like it! I think she'll be fine now after we met with another doctor last night. The first one was a HUGE ASSHOLE who made her feel like shit and started preaching his ethical bullshit to her when she was already upset
if she is on antibiotics, plan b will probably not be very effective. i know quite a few people who have all gotten pregnant while they were on the birth control pill because they were taking antibiotics, and that makes the pill not work. the same goes for the morning after pill, being that it's very similar to the pill, but a much higher dose.
sorry this is so long, but i wanted to be thorough... the condom came off on top of her, not in her? did you actually come inside of her? tell her to stop taking those antibiotics if she wants plan b to work! if she has already taken it, it might not be a bad idea to re-take plan b asap, and not take antibiotics this time. i mean really, being pregnant is bad enough when it's unwanted, but this will not be a healthy baby (sorry to be rude or blunt.. im kinda in a rush but wanted to reply anyway). so really, the very best thing to do is make sure that a baby is not conceived! all it takes is one little swimmer. just one. two shots of tequila will not render you impotent, even when combined with a few arbitrary substances. trust me, a woman can get pregnant if her man is on adderall (my 'sister' was dating a coke dealer on anti-depressants and adderall, who was also an alcoholic and a huge pothead, and guess what, she became pregnant!) how else do you think 'crack-babies' come about, you know, the ones born twitching and shaking from withdrawls, if drugs make it so hard to conceive? she could damn well be pregnant, and the baby could survive, but it'll probably have birth defects. that is NOT true. does she know when she ovulates? if she were to be on a regular cycle, she would be at her most fertile time, especially since sperm can live inside the body for a few days.
