i am registered with the telephone preference service which means that companies should not phone m ewithout my permission. Twenty minutes ago the tories called me trying to get my vote. They shant be calling me again. AFter telling them i dont want to be interfered at home in my private time and that i shall never vote for them he called me a 'liberal democrat' supporter in a derogatry manner and said goodbye (im not a lib dem supporter actually..). However before he hung up i informed him that i will be complaining and if successful the conservative party will be fined £5000. If you get called and you are registered withh the TPS visit www.stopnuisancecalls.com and complain hehe it feels good a bit of excitement for my boring day... i know this threads sounds like an advert and i apologise for that...

That's the standard fine for companies who have complaints upheld against them for calling a number that they should've screened against the Telephone Preference Service list.
i dont get £5000 but its nice to know maybe they will have it taken away from them.. the lib dems arent that bad sal...they smell but not as bad as many parties...you should all register with the tps and wait for the tory call...they especially asked for me which makes me think theyre trying to get us youngsters

Funnily enough... our local Tory candidate called around during the Easter hols... but I was still in bed... well, it was 9.00 in the morning... anyways, he'd pushed some bollocks through the door about supporting local school and teachers... blah blah blah... so I emailed him to ask if was going to support teachers in their action against pension changes... I invited him to stand on a picket line with us... Funny that I've not heard a word in return... I'm going to send him another email saying that, as part of my citizenship lesssons, I'm going to debate the futility of taking part in the democratic process due to the inablity of candidates to connect and commincate with the electorate... The tories ARE all that bad, where have you been for the last 26 years man?? everything they say is hypocritical, self-protecting or downright bigoted. they are bastards beleive me. if they come in to power - fox-hunting will be re-legalised, hereditary peers will be re-instated, the human rights act will be scrapped, travellers and 'gypsies will be unfairly persecuted, asylum seekers escaping persecutuion in there own country will be persecuted in ours, cannabis will return to a class B drug, massive pay outs of tax payers money in the form of subsidies will stay in place or even increase for the wealthy land owners and farmers that are polluting our countryside and killing our wildlife, more money will line the pockets of the wealthy upper classes instead of being used to help those with nothing, homophobic legislation will remain in place, the list goes on and on..... tories are terrorists!, vote Green. Whatever you do, do not vote labour, because as long as Tony Blair is leader, voting for Labour is effectively voting for a Tory government anyway. BRING BACK OLD LABOUR!! BLAIR OUT, LABOUR IN! and as for the LCA, a completely worthwile party for a just cause with clear views on many issues, not just those cannabis related althought this is obviously the main priority of the party. please check it out before you judge!
I think the Lib Dems are that bad. Best of the worst perhaps, but they're appalling on workers rights, flip flopped over the war and want to privatise the Royal Mint! There's not much left in Britain to privatise! I'm either going to back Respect or Greens. Normally I'd sway towards Respect since they're standing in Cambridge, and I know the candidate, but I'm very impressed with the Green manifesto this year. Scrap VAT! I've been wanting a party to say that for years....
Well, I have just checked my local paper, and it seems I have a choice of candidates from the following parties... New Labour Conservative Liberal Democrat UKIP Veritas Mebyon Kernow Hmmmmmm... I wonder which it will be... Fly...
