I, being actually fat, find it sad when women (and girls) that are actually healthy looking call themselves fat. I don't get mad at them though - - - they can't help what images they are bombarded with

It's not about being "bombarded with images" or "impossible expectations to live up to." It's called fishing for compliments, and (from my experience) all girls do it.
