What I will miss about babylon....

the list is very short, though it is hard to break these chains, the security and luxery are illusions.

THe only things i would be likley to miss are CAFFIENE! AND ZOO TYCOON.
oh it's the coolest, you get to build exhibits and adopt animals and they act kind of like they would act in a real zoo and hire zookeepers and... well it's a fun waste of time anyway

oOh, and i will seriously miss our turntables. and record library.

Caffiene is definitely the hard one here.

The security is great but it is not real, it may be assurance that i will have a bed each night. but what about the constant dreams of a society crumbling and me being inside a house next to atlanta, that is no place for a survivor or rebuilder. my head is very scattered on these things. When i was young it was easy to leave and start walking with less than 5$ in my pocket and the faith that jah will provide. Those journeys made me who i am.

But i have taken other journeys into the belly of the beast that have contributed to the corrosion of my faith in humanity.( It is still there, but not presently realized)

I get by with a little help from my friends just doesn't cut it anymore.

oh, what cursed events have since jaded my soul.

But I am a rainbow, and i am a citizen of this earth, and i am a child of God, and God does have a definite plan for me,

That being said , I feel like it is my responsibility to go where i am lead and to do everything in my power to help this new consciousness grow. Addictions and distractions waste lives.

One may spend his entire life "looking for love, comfort, security" that has been there for him since the time of his birth. Though one could spend an entire lifetime without looking where those things truly lie....... inside oneself.

great words i know i know, but does that help break babylons strong gravity on my soul.

The reason this is causing me so much tormoil is because i am 27 years old and the decisions i make now will affect the rest of my life.

I cannot sit is the comfort of this society and watch as we slaughter and incarcerate other countries races and even ourselves, in the name of God and right. i cannot ignore what i have become a part of ..

You guys let me know how you feel about babylon the great whore, she is so seductive......

    thanks

i always roll with a coffee percolator. perfect coffee on any fire. if you cant find one, try a bunch of yerba mate tea. caffine isnt part of babylon, just another thing that it exploits.

Caffine is not on the list of things I miss....I love it but Rainbow coffee is a lot stronger most of the time anyway... at our campWe always have our " Campachino zuu zuu" movie going on with capachino and of course da zuu zuus....anyone remember us from Ocala....my old lady and got remarried Valantines weekend....or there abouts.

I miss ......uh wait its coming.....
    theres got to be something.....

I'll post it when i can think of it.....

    wait... I got it

    ICE ...thats it ICE
    cold soft drinks

( this assumes you are talking of extended time in hippie land and not the fall of babelon completly , if thats the case then I dont know what I would miss but the list would be longer im sure)

yeah, mostly cold soft drinks, I intend on keeping coffee and hot cocoa on tap, for sure,

    oh, and showers,

all these things can be had in the woods , but with a little more effort makes them all mean a lot more.

It seems like the more luxury ie..fridge full of pop, bag full of herb, hot showers at the turn of a knob, knob...... the harder it is to appreciate each small indulgence as a blessing. it is much easier to overindulge to the point of luxery being a liability. ... that's one way of looking at it. another is to say that "the road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom"

    go figure,

    loveyall

great news. i've been in the great beyond for a few days. and the result is.

I DON'T MISS ONE DAMN THING! my backseat is a great bed and i'm sure a tent will find me at wsp tomorrow. still on caffiene, soda but switching to apple juice slowly, back on drum, the newports were hard to let go adn i'll still grab a tailor made when i can. but overall .. it's crazy After the first 30 hours away, i started to feel the magic of creation flood back into me. slept on the side of a mountain last night and awoke to birds singing.

    cant wait for nationals.

if there are any kind souls in sw va right now or around I85 to ga that are drumming, want to chill, or need a ride south. get in touch, i check the forums every few days and my email regularly (pebblesandmarbles@hotmail.com)

the best advice i can give based on the present fantasy is:

    Let Go.
