I can feel my baby!!!!!

YEY! I can feel the baby! It's not strong enough yet for daddy to feel, but I sure can! It's so weird. Like twitching/bubbles....something like that! It's so cool!
Does anyone know the approximate time that daddy will be able to feel the movements? I'm at 18 weeks now, which is about 2 weeks earily than some of the books said that I would be feeling movments, but there's others that said right now is when they should start. I feel bad for daddy though. I tell him that baby is moving, and he puts his hand on my tummy and says, "kick harder! I wanna feel, too!" It's cute!
Lol, the other night, I was in one of those, "just don't touch me" moods and he went to go and lift up my shirt to talk to my belly (baby can hear us now), and I pulled away. He sat up and was like, "you get to spend all day with baby, and I don't! I wanna talk to my baby!" That was so cute. He loves talking to my tummy!
I dont' know why some women hate being pregnant (aside from the hormones and the sickness) and getting fat. I love it! I'm loving getting up every day and seeing how much bigger I'm getting and waiting for all the little things like moving and hearing and all that stuff! It's so much fun!

I know what ya mean.... I am visiting w/ baby's daddy and i keep yelling for him to kick so he can feel it and i'm always like "can you feel it??" and he's like no.. i really wish he could.

 

There is not feeling that I have ever felt again that was so wonderful than feeling my babies move inside of me......so can understand the joy and awe.

Awww! *sniffs back a tear* How completely wonderful! It is such an awesome experience feeling your little ones move. Congratulations on feeling your little beebee, it's such an amazing thing.

Daddy should be able to feel soon, most likely within a few more weeks as Brighid said.

I really miss being pregnant. When I was pregnant, I said I didn't like it, but looking back, I honestly did love it. There is no other feeling in the world like it.

Your true bonding between you and your baby REALLY starts as of now!! Not just loving your baby but now you will really start to 'get to know' him/her. This time is so personal to you it will be one of you favourate memories now for the rest of your life!! I am so delighted for you I could hug you if I knew you!!

Don't worry about Daddy, I promise he'll feel too. Should not be much more that two weeks or so from now. And don't worry if even then he can't yet because sometimes it is just quite difficult for a Daddy to locate where baby's kicks are coming from even with you guiding his hand to where you are feeling them. But there will come a time (very soon I am sure...) where just right out of the blue your baby WILL kick his Daddy!!

Oh, how I agree with that!! I LOVE as in capital letters L.O.V.E, LOVE being pregnant!! Even though it was only nine months since I was pregnant, I do miss it already!!! It IS the most wonderful spiritual happy place you are ever likely to be in your whole life!! Oh, I miss it too much!!...I need to be pregnant again, right now!!!! He he he!! Then again I do want lots of children.

It really is nice to hear all your stories though!

 

COOL! I always loved to feel my babies move. It will be a few more weeks before your man will be able to feel it. The uterus has to thin a little more, and the baby's movements will have to get stronger.

When I am first feeling movement, it always seems like it stops when Bear puts his hand on the baby to feel it move. By the end, the kid is keeping him awake at night by kicking him in the back while sleeping. LOL.

Talk to the baby. They love it, and you can actually see the movement change as you or your man (and in subsequent pregnancies other children) talk to the baby.

I remember my babies dancing at Grateful Dead concerts, espcially my dd Moon.

Well, at least ur hubby can feel it, lol, even if it is in his back in the middle of the night!
I just can't wait until other people can feel the baby moving too! It's soooooo cool....the way that a woman can grow another little person inside her! It's almost mind boggling!

 

I felt my baby and could see my tummy move at 16 weeks. I was laying in the bathtub and things were calm and then it happened! there was a kick...and then I got my hubby there to see it too. you could see it because the water moved too it was prety cool.

You must be fairly slim, cuz then it's easier to see and feel the kicks. I'm not huge or anything, but I'm fairly chuncky in the tummy already, so it's a bit more of a challenge.

 

You sound just like me! I LOVED being pregnant, I loved it up to the end, everything was so amazing to me. I loved my belly and watching it change. I loved the little kicks, just wait!!

My boyfriend could start feeling the kicks really good when I was about 24 weeks. If I'd lay behind him, the baby would kick him, like pushing him away! Sweet, enjoy each little kick, you'll miss it!

it seems like everytime my son is kicking up a storm in there .. as soon as i tell someone to feel it he stops. I think he is messing with me.. or just being shy

 

I am not totally convinced it's to do with if someone is slim or bigger, has a small bump or big bump to how earlier you feel a baby kick. I mean maybe it is generally, sure but I will tell no lies I am a kind of 'big' girl, not huge but by no means slim either and when I was 16 weeks pregnant (with my latest Son, actually, with my 1st Son too now I think about it...) my bump was already really quite huge with both my Son's but I felt them kick at that stage too.

I do actually remember 'seeing' my latest Son move around from the shunts and jolts and all those kind of movement of my belly probably more than I actually 'felt' him!! Either way it is the most fantastic feeling in the whole entire universe!! So as I've said before ENJOY!!!
