I don't know who all gets the channel for this show, but you can read about it on the internet.

It's based on the lives of the first pilgrims. If you don't know, The pilgrims were a community of people seeking religious/spiritual freedom. Basically, exactly like the many communities trying to form today.

I've watched only one episode so far and it was pretty interesting. They talked about how the work was hard and never ending. Illness engulfed more then half the population and killed many of them.

This show will explore the lifestyle that these pilgrims had to endure in order to just barely survive. Several of the participants have already started complaining and want to quit. The work is never ending and people are already getting sick. Most of them never dreamed this lifestyle would be so difficult. Already starting to see a lot of personalities coming in to play and conflicts will surely start happening.

I think it's going to be a great success and can't wait to watch more of it.

We had a series here not long ago called The Colony which was similar.

It was a re-enactment of the colonial years of Australia and the "settlers" had to eat the food of that time, make their own clothes and build their own houses etc. I missed alot of it unfortunatley but what I did see was quite interesting though.
