any modest mouse fans? who agrees that mr. brock should immediately start taking drugs again? his music was much better as a junkie. In conclusion, good news for people who love bad news is horrible, but old modest mouse is amazing music.
I'm not a big fan of them, but they're good in concert. Plus, I was high. But it wa a good time, they put on a good show. (I went to see the opening act anyway! lol)
couldnt agree more. "good news..." really isnt that terrible of an album, but i can feel that everything could be going down hill for modest mouse from now on. Everything else however is just great! I still feel that the moon & antartica is a one of a kind masterpiece.
It seems to be the trendy thing at the moment to slag off 'Good News..', but personally i think it's a great album. It's different to MM's other work, and probably a bit more commercial, but that doesn't mean it isn't still class. It pisses me off how all the hipsters start slagging off bands the second they start getting the recognition they've deserved for years. It's almost comical how the cool young things ditched MM the minute Float On hit the charts.. MM still rock and thats a fact.
we all float on is the only song i ever really LIKED by that band, but i guess they're okay as a whole, but only because that song is awesome
