but I saw "Finding Neverland" yesterday on DVD and I thought it was an absolutely beautiful movie. any comments on this one?
"Finding Neverland" was a little sappy but I actually enjoyed it. Johnny Depp movies are usually pretty good anyways.
I thought it was really beautiful, got quite a few tears out of me...Not something I could watch on a regular basis, but I really really like it.
Hmmmmmm I have never heard of this movie and I love Jonny Depp movies. Anyone able to tell me what its all about
I'm impressed by a lot of the work that Kate Winslet does, and Johny Depp as well. This movie made some good points concerning the difficulty in maintaining a spontaneous magic and flexibility when we become A-dults. This movie however, was almost ruined when it sank several times into sappiness. But I was curious about the following coincedences: 1) Johny Depp's interest in children is interpreted as pedophilia. 2) The Peter Pan story is the prime example for the Peter Pan syndrom of perpetuating indefinately one's childhood against the coming of A-dulthood. 3)The Neverland of the Peter Pan story is in the title of the movie. All of this coinciding with the forever child-like Michael Jackson's front-page trial of his possible pedophilia at his Neverland estate. Strange coincedence.
No, it's the life of the man who wrote the Peter Pan story, during the time of his writing and staging it.
Ditto to that. Missed it while it was at the movies, so I can't wait for it to be released here on DVD. Anything Johnny Depp does is great, because he chooses his roles & films so well... I have no doubt that I'll enjoy it.
