i was wondering if anyone knows some good easy folk songs for guitar. Things like 'this land is your land' just a few chords with some good lyrics. I need some stuff to play at camp and around the campfire.

try playing stuff like van morrison, leonard cohen anything really, just play the chords instead of the tab

especially ona lot of tab sites, where the song is complecated, just use the chords...and its all good

    Neil Young... go to http://www.hyperrust.org

There's chords/tabs for almost every one of his songs on there. Songs like Wooden Ships, Helplessly Hoping, Carry On, Helpless etc. by CSN(Y) are also great. Also, look for John Prine's stuff. I like Illegal Smile and Angel From Montgomery, etc.

Yeah, most people don't know about that site.

Here's the direct link to the chords and tablatures page for reference.

Another Side of Bob Dylan appears to be Bob's easiest album. Check that one out.

Puff The Magic Dragon is only like 4 chords in rythm. I think those are C#m, D-Minor, C, and G. With some finger pickin thrown in the mix.
Leavin On A Jet Plane is another easy one.
The artists I'm talking about are, "Peter, Paul And Mary" and John Denver.

Niel Young is good, he makes a lot of his songs simple on purpose. That's just how cool he is.

It depends TOO on what you want to learn to play. Rythm? Lead, Bass?
