Yup, mine usually have a combination of Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin, Sublime, Grateful Dead, Phish, Yes, and some other bands I can just chill with. But whenever I smoke in my room I usually pop in an ICP cd only because it sounds so badass with my new stereo; I just upped it to two 8" subs and six 12" subs. :D

I play music I'm just getting into, or 'challenging' music. It helps me understand it better and I find I enjoy the music more the next time I hear it sober.

Music is probably the main reason I smoke.

I also avoid stuff life pink floyd/bob marley etc just becuase it's so painfully cliched it makes me want to die.

Great music it may be, but smoking a joint while listening to Easy Skankin just smacks of the early teen 'weed is cool' syndrome.

Well, I often listen to the songs by those bands that nobody ever recognizes, and I forgot to mention that I got this cd from a hella chill local ska band that I haven't been able to put down. One of my best smoking experiences was hotboxing the drummers garage with a bong while they practiced. The only light we had was from blacklights and lava lamps. It was awesome.

Thats what Im always saying...people listen to Reggae for the wrong reasons. But, in his own right, Bob Marley is an excellent muscician, and indirectly a Pot icon.

But you can like Bob Marley and not fall into the "high school stoner" steretype.

    "Pots about you, not him."

I must say that I once was definately a 'high school stereotype', but eventually I became more chill and decided to do my own thing, regardless of how other people saw me.

Yes . . I smoked with a friend before going to an outside show once. It ended up being hella cold so we stayed in the car so the bands were playing and the music just echoed to the car and it was just peaceful even though it was grindcore/hardcore stuff.

Haha, I always manage to get some afroman in there and those are the exact two songs I always put on a smoking up CD. If we're going on some kind of mission, like we're baking with some people before school, it's soo fucking early in the morning. So I'll put some classical or some nice acoustic songs at the beginning, to get everyone calmy woken up. Next, it has to be some kind of comedy like Mitch Mitchell. About this time we are at our smoking spot and I put some Phish, Afroman, the Pavement, and some toned down Ska music. The finale is usually some gansta rap or bohemian rhapsody, because we all believe we sound MAGNIFICENT singing it stoned.
