Halluncinating

What do you people mean when you say you feel like you're tripping or halluncinating on pot?


I have never once felt that way. Pot and mushrooms/acid are totally different and effect different parts of the brain. Pot isn't supposed to make you trip. Is this just an expression? Are some of you exaggerating?

I don't get it. I think there is a HUGE difference between getting high and tripping!

 

I've had a few experiences with weed that have been kinda psychedelic, almost shroomlike. It tended to happen when I was pretty new to weed, or when I was smoking some really good stuff.


I got lots of colourful closed eye visuals and some mild 'morphing' type open eye visuals (i remember my freinds eyes kind of turned into fractal like patterns when i stared at him, stuff like that). I wouldn't describe it as tripping, but being very very very high. I also got some feelings and emotions that reminded me slightly of shrooms. Its hard to explain but it was definetly trippy.

Ganj is a mild psychedelic don't forgot

It wasn't anywhere near a real trip though.

 

ive not tried psychs like mushies but i see 'hallucinations' all the time when stoned. that is defining hallucinations as seeing thigns that arent there. have this sort of film of colours that goes over my vision and i see cartoons and patturns and changing things. and theyre always changing. and someteims very entertaining

nothing that ever looks real however

the one thing that 'trips' most people out however i recon is the way weed can make you recognise things as objects or people that they arent. like, see a rock and think its a turtle or something. theyll be like 'man i saw a turtle, fkn trippin bals' at least thats my take on the mainstream use of trippin with stoned people.

also, i find that, even soberly nowadays, but perhaps moreso when im very stoned, i can look at a surface or plane of vision and have it skew and wave (like a flag ie) or chrink or stretch or whatever.

i think i get more visual fun out of my marijuana use than most people

one time i closed my eyes (well more than one tiem actually, i just usually cant remember what i was looking at) and saw a television quality closed eye visual of this dude. i dont remember who it was now. some blonde american actor i think. but yeh it was really amazing but only lasted a few seconds. pretty awesome few seconds

but then so are all the cool visions.

Shadows dance for me or I could swear something moved
at the corner of my field of vision. Sometimes when I've
been web designing on my PC for long periods of time I
can see stuff like invisible bugs fly about in a tracer way
when there's fuck all there. Certain colours can sometimes
seem like they have been turned up in brightness, etc.
Powerful weed can sometimes make my sight act like a
stroboscope.

None of it as bad or as powerful as kaleidoscope visuals
I got from Acid, seeing and fully understanding fractal
images and the Mandelbrot set, etc. Will never forget
that one.

 

i was high one time and i was in the woods with a buddy or two and all these leaves started to look like potleafs and i feltlike i was in asia...vietnam or somnething...like all the war games and shit...i really was in a bamboo fiel though so that set that off i guess but alot of the leafs looked like pot leafs and satrted kinda looking like i was tripping

 

once i was realy high and i walked up my stairs and it looked they where moveing back and forth and up and down it only happend for like 5 secounds tho i blinked and it was gone also i though some walking down the street looked like a clown but it was late and dark and i was stoned and also only lasted a few secounds

 

I guess it's just me. I've never felt even close to tripping when I get high. I think it's a totally different feeling and they don't compare.

 

I've had those false sense of movements on pot , alcohol, and too many zanies,.. but but feeling of hearing color and seeing the breath in everything, or that beautiful melting of sky and leaves, have only came to me in mushrooms.. I don't fool around with too many chemicals.. but the natural ones are cool.. I tried acid onece but it made me sick to my stomach, and I'd have to wait for the trash can to open its mouth before I could upchuck..but that was ok, the little faces in the floor tile kept me company while the wall breathed their cool breath one me... It was all good ..

 

I used to do E, quite alot and would puke up on them.
The thing is though, I felt absolutely ecstatic after and
felt a millions times better for doing so. It would make
the E feel better.

 

ive definatly seen things that werent there on weed,i mostly think it was me getting carried away with my brain but what eva its still fun and games

 

well i never hallucanating while i was stoned..
but..ive gotten really tripped out..and uh, freaked out too haha.
i just feel alot like im in a carnival, and i get flashbacks and feel like im visiiting my past lives and future lives and i just have no idea whats going on.i might think i do for one sec, but then the next, its completly different! but this has only happened when i started smoking medical marijuana!

there was only 1 time that i can remember that i saw some weird shit when i was high. It was the first time i had ever taken bong rips out of a glass bong (i was a gravity bong junky in high school ). It had to have been some pretty dank weed too cause i sat down on the couch and when i closed my eyes, it was like the screensaver with all the stars coming at my face and every so often a big colorful chinese dragon would float by.

 

yeah i think that when yer really stoned, u get halluncations..but in your mind. not that u actually see, but in your mind...ya know? i jus figured that out yesterday!

 

I don't trip on weed. But me and my mates smoke up in a car at night in some lanes and the only thing lit up is the car stereo and the end of the joint. after an hour of smoking and staring it really fucks yours eyes up in a tunnel vision way.

 

Maybe they smoked laced pot or maybe they are soo high and have never tripped before so they think they are tripping although sometimes when I'm stoned off my ass if I smoked something bomb I can see closed eye visuals or bugs out of hte corner of my eyes but thats about it. I remember when I was an extreme light weight I would see weird shapes when i closed my eyes, shapes I could not explain that reminded me of my child hood for some odd reason.. hmmmm...... makes you wonder.

 

I wish I tripped off pot.. I know a couple of people who black out on it.. But unfortunatly I must just be a burn out, because I get higher on a $20 bottle of Quervo than I do on $20 of any kind of weed.. Although I do prefer the weed.. My vision gets better on really good green pot.. Does that kinda count?..

 

yeah wen i was new to weed an also wen ive smoked alot i tend to see lots of things like wen walkin home the sign posts etc. in the background always look like groups of chavs (lol that probably due to paranoia though)....an yeah one time wen i was fucked i startin seein shit on the side of the tent i was lyin in, i spent like half an hour just lookin at the pretty colours and creases that looked like shit

I've kinda tripped once. It was like 11:30 at night and I was walking back to my house on a trail with tons of grass and plants and shit on both sides. I was about as stoned as I have ever been (smoked two dubs of Bubble Gum, a dub of Super Silver Haze, a tensack of Romulan, and the star of the night: a dub and a half of Purple Fire [it's a Purple Haze/Orange Kush hybrid] and it was all from the club so it was top quality) and I was just plain damn stoned as fuck.



So, I'm walkin' home, kinda in my own little world, when I look to the side and see a fuckin' huge cartoon frog. It was like really dark and hard to make out but I swear that I saw a frog just staring at me. As soon as I see it I start to freak out so I look around me to see if anyone else is around and then when I look where the frog was it disappeared.

A little while later I suddenly notice all these white posts that are on the side of the trail every ten yards. But when I look into the distance all the posts turn into these little white dogs. I stopped and they turned into posts again. But when I started to walk again they turned back into dogs and it looked like they were running at me. First it freaked me out but then I thought it was cool so I laughed to myself and then they turned back into posts.
