I'm trying to think of any protest songs you can think of to make a CD out of. I would prefer they be from the Veitnam War era, but any would help.

Are you protesting war, I assume? Here are some good anti-war songs. Some are from the Vietnam era, some are not.

Joan Baez - Where Have All The Flowers Gone?
Joan Baez - Blowin In The Wind
Peter, Paul, and Mary - If I Had A Hammer
Bob Dylan - Masters of War
    Edwin Starr - War
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son
    Eminem - Mosh
The Byrds - Turn! Turn! Turn!
Bruce Springsteen - Born In the USA
    The Cranberries - Zombie
Eric Bogle - Green Fields of France
Barry McGuire - Eve of Destruction

I never understood how Peter, Paul, and Mary's "If I Had a hammer" was an anti-war song....

Well, I'm not saying it is or isn't but the last verse is...

    It's the hammer of justice
    It's the bell of freedom
It's the song about love between my brothers and my sisters
    All over this land

theres been many errors in the authors of the protest songs. Blowin in the Wind is by Bob Dylan. Turn!Turn!Turn! is by Pete Seeger and so is If I had a Hammer. With taht being said check out bob dylan for protest songs he has alot of them and they are real good.

The best protest song of all time, alot of ppl say, is blowin in the wind by B. Dylan. The Times they are a-changin is a good one, Its Alright Ma is awesome, With God on our Side is amazing, Talkin John Birch Paranoid Blues is a protest song about america's view on communism, Masters of War is nicce, the list goes on

P.S. all those were bob dyaln songs.

I was referring to the singer, not the author. Joan Baez's version of "Blowin In the Wind" and Peter, Paul, and Mary's version of "If I Had A Hammer" are vastly superior. Bob Dylan was a great songwriter, but he couldn't sing.
