I am just curious. I use Urban Decay. Their stuff is no tested on animals and it's vegan. I was also wondering if there are any makeup products you skip or do you go all out? I never use lipliner, blush, or brow liner. I find those to be a huge waste of money.
Urban Decay rocks. While I'm not into fashion at all, I am a self-proclaimed makeup whore. UD, MAC, Hard Candy, even drugstore brands like Almay and Cover Girl...I own way too much makeup.
Like I said in the thread with the poll about make-up I wear it daily. I haven't seen Urban Decay so I can't say much about them. I usually buy what I can afford aside from my concealor that I love made by Perscriptives. I also have some of their lip gloss. It is good too. I use Arbonne blush & moisturizing cream. I actually let myself get talked into being a dealer for Arbonne but so far have only bought from them once. Good stuff but I have to phase into it. Both companies say that all of their products are animal friendly. Otherwise I use Olay, NYC, Almay, L'Oreal, Maybelline for my usual daily face. I have some other things but they are my everyday stuff.
I loooove Cover Girl... Hate that they test on animals though. I like Maybelline, Clinique and BonneBelle too. (BonneBelle doesn't test on animals... )
Hmmmm. When I wear makeup, I have to use hypoallergenic stuff. I usually use Clinique, or Revlon (their lipstick is one of the few that doesn't give me hives) or Almay (but it doesn't last long enough.) WHEN is the operative word.
i like bobbi brown a lot for eyeshadow and lip gloss and lancome mascara and i wear this tinted sunscreen i get from my dermotalogist i cant stand foundation
When I was young, I never left the house without eyeliner, shadow and blush, but I never wore foundation. Now, I often only wear foundation. Ah, to have skin of a twenty year old again. Pregnancy and the sun do nasty things to your skin.
Avon, Annabelle, L'oreal, Revlon, Maybelline and the Body Shop... I have a neat shadow but I don't know the brand name for it (got it in a boutique in Portland Or.) I like collecting colours for my eyes, hence the many different brands. I usually wear liner and mascara (coloured liner if I'm not using shadow), and sometimes shadow. Lip stuff always wears off on me, dries my lips out, or turns orange unless it's just a lip balm.
In the 80s when New Wavers and the like always went out at least wearing eyeliner, I used whatever kohl was there. Never found a particular brand I wanted to stick with. I remember in the Clockwork Orange days I did one eye with some weird Clinique product that was like steroids to the eyelashes. Mine are long to start off with, so the effect was interesting. When I was still young and good looking and doing the pale face thing - Mac. Most definitely Mac. Without a doubt. Still have the powder- but now many episodes in the gym, multiple pounds as a result heavier and no longer waiflike boyish and youthful it would just look so so wrong. I think Voltaire (the Goth guy not the person here nor the long dead Frenchman) said it right when paleface makeup on any Goth older than a certain age makes one look like an aging drag queen not a death rocker. And I concur. With due apologies to any drag queens etc. who might be reading this.
Snowdancer - have I seen you somewhere before? You look strangely familiar, though I've never been to Madison...
I use a bunch of different products, whichever has a type I like. Or whatever is on sale. I've just started to like eyeshadow, I used to hate it.. but I have no idea what colours to use, so I mostly just buy neutrals.
I haven't heard of a lot of these companies, are they not avalible in Canada.. Or am I just out of touch?
i wear mostly anything, i'm not really loyal to one brand, a promotional campaign's nightmare i do try and wear only makeup that does not test on animals, but i am noticing more and more companies are becoming better about this...slowly my favorite brands are Benefit, anna sui (all of her stuff smells like roses) Nars and MAC has really great colors i think benefit does what it says it does, theyre products are always really great i usually only wear powder, lip gloss, bronzer (because i'm grossly pale) and always mascara...
I looooove MAC eyeliner. But it's really expensive, and the closest MAC store is half an hour away from me, so I use Prestige (drugstore stuff) eyeliner/lipstuff, Almay foundation/powder, and Revlon hair dye/nailpolish.
NYC, Annabelle, Bonne Bell and Rimmel(hehe those 3 all rhyme) and other cheap stuff from the dollar store. I find it works just as good as the 7 $ stuff
Burt's Bees tinted lip balm...that is all I usually wear. If I did wear anymore makeup than that, it would be Burt's Bees.
when i'm wearing makeup, i take the one from Hema (it's an store over here wich sells makeup that is not tested on animals)
