Hey all. I have to write a short story for my short fiction class to present. I've gotten 2 pages so far. It has to be 5. Each group member is doing 1 1/2 to 2 pages each. I'm writing it about a trip to a concert. Something jam/ folky. The characters are : a crazed fan, a good friend who isn't interested and another friend who has never been to a concert before. So what I was wondering after we all write about our experiences during the show, how should I tie the loose ends up? Any interesting climactic points come to mind? I'm stumped...:( Thanks for your help.

I usually write poetry, I've never written a short story before, it seemed like it was just flowing out of me though dialogue and all. It was pretty cool, I'll have to do it again sometime.

One way to approach it is to think about the major character and what they might learn for the experience or how it might change them -- then find a way of showing that.

I'd be inclined to do the opposite actually. Just write about it as a bunch of stuff that happened. Avoid trying to talk about the music, because it never works in books.
