    Look I understand dawganova1976's point yeah its cheep, but ask yourself why is it that they have have so many people against there polices!? I don't know about your area but I live outside Pittsburgh somewhere between the getto and suberbia, I have a Walmart 10 mins away from the local mall, Shopping district and don't you know those walmart fuckers picked the smallest intersection right between there walmart and the mall to bulid another walmart who need that many walmarts in one place, not to metion all the little chill shops will go out of buisness cause walmart is one stop shopping Stupid fucking cattle if it cost to much in gas to drive around either ride the bus or for gods sakes WALK once in while.

    Not to mention My Grandma a 80yr old X marine officer even boycots walmart. Shes all about her some confority and she even hates walmart if she hates walmart that pretty much everyone should.

    not shopping somewhere != boycott.

    none of you will make a difference. that seems horrible and lazy, but it is true. walmart will be around for a very long time, though when it does collapse from whatever combination of influences, those who seem to think it their moral imperative to avoid shopping there will undoubtedly claim that it was their doing.

    Walmart ate my local Asda, Since then the stock has got worse and worse and the shop's a tip. However, the stuff is actually pretty cheap and apart from the bad points I have mentioned above, I have no problem with shopping there. Well. Going shopping there with my mum when she shops there. But y'know what I mean.

    ? Thats strange because i would have thought you would not have seen much of a diffrence . Though they may transplant their code of conduct etc as well as being the ruling share holders ?.. who knows ?. It's telling that people (you) still have no problems shopping there (albeit through your parents :p ), because its the consumer that keeps these types of places open. Even people that may have a problem with the ethos .. have no problems shopping at such establishments.

    Walmart should be boycotted for dealing with China anyway.The occupation of Tibet by the Chinese is a stain on the conscience of the world.Though that's almost a different subject.

    I boycott McDonalds and Walmart, not for political reasons, but because I just don't like the vibes... oh, and the products suck too.

    What a load or rubbish.. China is doing well because they have chosen a diffrent path. They are doing nothing more than every country does, that is to open up to world markets. They are not 'stealing jobs' etc etc because they do something better than other countries do and want to make there country and the people as economicaly viable as every other industrialised country...If you denounce them for doing what 'we' do then thats another matter..but they live in a diffrent structure now, and i applaud them for changing. I am sure other countries (including china) think 'we' are stealing there jobs... its the most small minded thing to think the way you think...almost a cliche..heck it is a cliche.

    About the only thing I like in Wal-Mart is tha craft department. They have good bargans and real craft supplies, unlike Hancocks' or JoAnn, which seem to be turning into Pier 1. :confused:

    Hey frog-gotta tell ya coming from Canada and living in Bad Liebenzell Im pretty happy theres a wal-mart not too far away-I know they`re evil wicked-doers but the strong German labour laws make it difficult for them to fuck the workers like they do in North America-three wal-mart stores in Canada voted to unionize and wal-mart simply shut them down-however until there is a better altenitive than Real,Tengelmans or Edeka I will be forced to leave my principals in Würtemburg and shop at wal-mart.
    Ich wünsche Ihn ein schönen tag noch.
