i dont watch tv at all maybe like 10 minutes a day and maybe and hour a week but im usually playing music or hanging with friends
You know what's quality? History International. I don't have it anymore but that was some good stuff for sure. Normal History Channel is good but it's mostly the same old War Specials from WW2. Plenty of great stuff to catch but it needs some variety, and Modern Marvels and some of the other shows are repeats and then you have stuff like Mail Call. Also some of the standard conspiracy stuff all those networks have, could be more informative IMO, but learning stuff from TV is pretty sweet.
Yeaaahhh... Oh, I wish I got History International. I hate that stupid Mail Call shite. Modern Marvels sucks too. I don't care how can openers were invented, thank you very much. I spent six hours straight watching History Channel when they ran a special on American Presidents. I fell asleep right before FDR. AHahhaaa...
That was an awesome special on all the presidents. I just caught the repeats when they showed like an hours worth or two at a time and kept repeating it day after day. I managed to catch most of them. I've always dug the presidents, like trivia and jeopardy stuff, like Cleveland's two non consecutive terms and Taft serving on the Supreme Court. Lucky for you there's the big FDR special that's coming up and going to be replayed to death. And I like the Modern Marvels, most of them anyway. Like when they deal with buildings and how the Chrysler Building, or Empire State were built and they have interviews with the old timers who helped build it and have stories about life back then getting a job in the depression. The Dam stories are good too. Then stuff like orgin of the can opener obviously isn't as cool historically, I prefer something more standard, like the stuff I'm missing out on about British History and Roman stuff on International! But they repeat some of that on the normal history channel, mostly late at night or early in the day. Barbarians, Napoleon, that stuff. Big blocks of them during the day are fat.
Yeah, I like that kind of stuff too. Cleveland confused me at first... I was like, "Wait... didn't he die yet?!?! " Hahaa... I know. I cried during a repeat of that, when they showed his funeral. Fat?
The Cleveland sandwich was killer. Now that I think about it those episodes were pretty good as it was explaining how he got back into things and the narrow defeat where he won the popular vote but lost the election. More great trivia. I actually didn't know they aired the FDR thing yet! I've just been seeing the previews and not paying attention I guess. He dies!? Way to spoil it! And Fat is my hippie-slang. Synonym of good. And a big fat block of Barbarians or a history of the Normans is pretty large sized as well as being good indeed!
i usually don't watch tv..except when i'm layin in bed, about to fall asleep...and some other times but to answer your question.. almost everything on discovery health (doctor g, medical examiner!) lots of stuff on vh1(but not most) including My Coolest Years and the top 100 metal moments (and whatnot) MATCH GAME 74! I LOVE the match game! and the newlywed game.! we just got gameshow network again and a tivo-type thing...so i'm happy.
I absolutely love the family guy, that baby is the funniest fucking thing! I've been watching south park forever so it's a close second.
Also catch some C-SPAN, news (msnbc, cnn), the daily show, and some random stuff here and there. Simpsons has declined in quality so much I can't take it anymore. Family Guy I've got all the DVDs and have seen them so much I don't catch it anymore. But I have high hopes for the new season of Family Guy now that it's coming back to TV. The new episodes are supposed to be killer.
my favorite shows are: real time with bill maher futurama family guy the simpsons daily show with jon stewart american idol americas next top model x-files Fear (I have no idea what happened to it though. Used to be on MTV) Scare tactics
