the dude from sublime, I know it's a shame I forgot his name, what can ya do, I'm a pothead ya forget shit. lol
hmmmm, i was gunna say kurt cobain, but i wasn't even thinking about john lennon. i totally change my vote to him.
I definently agree with everything you said there I think it's Brad something, that doesn't sound right but I swear it started with a B
Brad Nowell (sublime) was my pick too (1968-1996)...and Hendrix too, unfortunately too many good ones to eulogize properly. Michael Houser from Widespread Panic. I'll miss him this summer.
I don't know... I'm really stuck between him and Sublime guy.... damn.... I hate choices (and I'm the one that said only one) I think I'm goin' to go with Sublime guy... err.... Sublime does have a lot more good music than Hendrix.... I think Hendrix could've definently used more time.... Okay my decision is.... drumroll.... Hendrix, I'm goin' with Hendrix (my dad would be proud)
I dno I think it should b hendrix just cuz he had an unlimited supply of talent and we only got to see a small portion of it. But i dno its to hard to choose one you got bradley nowell (please dont call him the sublime guy he deserves better than that), jerry, marley, jim morrison, the list goes on. But i think its gotta b hendrix just to see what he would ahve done. While hes not my favorite dead artist it wouldve been cool to see him do some of the shit that we never got to see him do.
i definately agree that Hendrix barely had time to really get out a lot of material... my pick is Frank Zappa, musical genius, virtuoso, eccentric jokester... but had a hard time choosing between him and Marley... Marley i'd like to be alive for his music, but also for his social conscience... think of how many people he was able to bring together from all over the world, under the banner of the rastafarian way of life... he changed a lot of hearts and brought rastafarianism to all corners of the world. I can't argue with any of your guys' choices so far...
