  1. use the current 250w in the new veg room, buy a new 400w light for the flower room

i was getting a free 250w light but the deal fell through, then a cheap 400w and that also fell through - so i'm now looking at buying a new light :) but i'm stuck ...

option 1 - use the current 250w in the new veg room, buy a new 400w light for the flower room

pros - 400w for the flower room would mean more buds?

cons - more electric use, more heat generated, higher bulb costs, higher price. redundant 250w metal halide bulb for flowering

option 2 - use the current 250w in the flower room, buy a similar or lower power light for the new veg room

pros - less electric used than 400w, lower heat generated than 400w, lower bulb costs, lower price. can use existing sodium bulb for vegging ( if 250w ).

cons - less watts ... less big buds?

so i guess really its all down to how much extra bud 400w would give over 250w ...

    what do you think? :H

after much thought i decided on the 250, made more sense. but something went wrong somewhere and i came back with a 400w sodium, carbon filter and ruck fan instead! :)

the plants are gonna love it, 400w!!
