All I know is it's fucking annoying, my mom, my aunt, my 'friend' everytime they see me they make a comment about my clothes and hair and everytime I tell them I don't care about what you think about how I look, why do they continue then?

U OOOOOO, Can I answer that one please!? They say it's because they love you and want to see you looking your best but it's really to make you feel uncomfortable. My mom use to brag about her style of dress and now she thinks her way is the only way that counts.

I think if a woman tells another woman that she should change something about herself she thinks that she is helping her because she believes that if the woman she is telling to change herself is more attractive that people will like her more, which is true because that is the way the mediocre brainwashed person is. 54% of the U.S. are wemon and 46% are men, because of this, wemon damage their bodys by applying all kinds of makeup and junk.

I don't ever do things like that, I don't feel that it's my place to tell another woman whether or not I agree with her clothes, hair, make-up, etc. I may not particularly care for her look or see myself copying it, but I'm certainly not going to say anything negative to her.

If she feels beautiful, then she IS truly beautiful, regardless of what others may think of her.

i usually only comment to another female if i like what i see... as in "aww hun, your hair looks cute today." or something like that, i would never say, "hun your hair would look cuter if you did this."

sometimes appearence isn't the first priority for people, and it's not they like are hurting anyone by looking the way they are. so i don't feel the need to comment.

I have never had that happen to me thankfully but if it did I'd laugh at her and tell her she didn't look right. Because like other people have said she obviously has some self esteem issues. Ok so I'm in a really pissy mood right now, sorry. Maybe I'd do that maybe I'd stand there with my jaw to the floor because that is the most insensitive rude thing I've ever heard of. I have had dirty looks and snide remarks made though. In those situations I've just looked at them and smiled. Course I went home and cried. But I'm not the same person I used to be.

I have to take my medicine now.

I work in an office of too many women. Everyone makes comments about everyone. It can get so bitchy, women over-analyse each other too much! What she's wearing, what she said... Its sad but its an inevitable situation when you get lots of women together. I'm kind of used to it, but I don't care for their opinions, they're not my friends.

My real friends I do care for however. I can take their comments and I know they can take mine (if they ask). Its a different situation when you're genuinely good friends becuase then you know they are looking for your best interests and you are for theirs. I could do without the rest.

Here is a response to the nastiness that makes the other woman mad. (I don't know why.)

Woman to you: I think that color doesn't looks good on you. I think a black would be more flattering on your type of figure.

You to the woman: You need a man to have sex with you so that you won't have so much free time to worry about me.

This is such a good thread...and I hate that stuff too!! I definitely am a casual Levi's 550/hippie type woman, and that is the way I dress. I would also be a rich woman if I got a nickel for every person who has tried to "dress up" my look..."wouldn't you like it better if you got rid of some of those grey hairs" Why do you always wear jeans? That shirt/skirt is pretty, but its just too 'hippy'...don't you know that the 60's were over 40 yrs ago? (snicker, snicker) You're skin is so pretty, why don't you wear makeup to enhance it..." Aaargh...and, this is saying nothing about my politics and plans for my life..."can't you just learn to go along?"

OK, I've ranted enough!! But, I feel it is so important for each person to be who they are, in their hearts, in their souls...and as a reflection of that, in the way they dress!

Sus takes deep breath...lets it out....AHHHH....thanks for listening!!

Thanks for the complement. I hate it when someone tell me that something looks "flattering" on me. (Woman say flattering but I don't understand what that means.) Pretty, beautiful, sexy, or cute are good but flattering sounds like it sucks lol.

LOL!! cheers I'll remember that one for next time :D :D There's a certain "friend" at work who's always telling me to get blonde highlights because then I'll look "good". (charming) I'm gonna say that to her next time she opens her trap! *rubs hands in glee* :X

Ok I am better now that I have taken my medicine. There is a woman in my office (she is the office bully in many other ways as well) and she gets so jealous and pissed off if anyone looks nicer than her. If anyone else gets a compliment on something that they are wearing, she flips out and starts being nasty. Girl has issues. And that is just the surface. I do know however, from trying to get to know her better, that when she was in high school she was teased for the clothes that she wore, and she has told me that she thinks of our office as her "new high school" except now she is in the "cool clique". I actually feel sorry for her sometimes. It must be horrible to hate herself and everyone else that much.

LOL high school. She is 30 for crying out loud!

I hate the cluster clique most of all. (Cluster Clique) A group of 3 or more girls designed to make life, as you know it miserable. They laugh when nothing is funny (Sometimes pointing) ask personal questions designed to make you feel like an outsider and pretend to accept you in the group only to use you for more material for their punch lines. Ex: Would you like to join us for drinks? You accept and before you know it the 4 of you are talking about the subject of you and only 3 people are laughing. (Hint, you're not one of them.)

I just spent a couple months in Mexico. What with all the sweating and packing my pack around and diahrea I lost some weight. People won't shut up about how good look lately. It bothers me cause its like what was I before chopped liver or something...i dunno.

Now that I'm back people won't shut up about how good I look, except for the ones that preffered my straight black haIr to my frizzy dreadlocks. It bothers me cause its like what was I before chopped liver or something...i dunno.

yesterday i got told that i was beautiful by another girl

she told me that i'm lucky becuase i don't have to wear make-up to look pretty and that my dreads suit me very much. there are some boundaries in high school that are hard for some people to cross, to completely generalise she was a preppy girl and i am not, so i mean there is kindness in all girls even in high school! (unusual, i know)
