Good to use? It looks so easy.....I hate shaving my legs....but I've never known anyone who's actually used it. Maybe it burns?

Yes it burns and leaves kind of just a 'funny' feeling to the skin, almost in a numbing way.

I have. It didn't pick up all the hair. And, in some spots I had chemical burn. It hurt so bad. It was strange. No matter how short I'd keep it on some skin would always get those rashy burn spots. If I left it on long, no matter how long, not all the hair would be naired off. I also noticed to cake your legs good enough to get hair off you'd use close to the whole bottle to do it. Plus, the hair would grow back quickly. In my experiance I didn't like using it for large areas of hair removal. The only way to find out though how well it works for you is to try it yourself. I personally hate the stuff! lol

I used to...made my bathroom stink to high heaven. It made my skin tingly, but I didn't get any burns.... it just smelt SO bad, and it was very messy as well.

I hear it isn't very good for somewhat thicker hair either. I'm naturally a blonde with very fine hair, so it did get rid of everything, but shaving is a lot more convenient for me, and lasts almost as long.

oh yeah, ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER EVER use it for your pubic area

I have used Nair before and I would say DON"T USE IT!!!!! I hade major red rashes after I used it, it didn't even remove all of the hair and it took longer to go through that pain than to just shave. AND never use it in the pubic area!!!!!! Ouch!

I thought I was the only person that had a bad reaction to it!
I tried using it and afterwards my skin hurt so bad, it was worse than any sunburn I've ever had. I could barely walk! And I didn't leave it on long, nor do I have skin allergies/sensitivities.
I will never touch that stuff again. Youch!

Ive never had a problem with it... I gets all the hair and i never has any burns from it... It doesnt work as well on think dark hair... but i have blond hair.. took it right off... I also have really sensitive skin but it didnt bother me.. It stinks though hurt my sinuses... It really isnt worth it.. It takes as long as or longer than shaving... I have really gotten into the Intuition razors w/ the block of shaving cream around them... They work great and it takes me less than 5 minutes to shave my legs, pits and bikini line.. no razor burn or anything... Just wet it and the area and shave, no shaving cream. . . Try them... There kinda expensive and dont last as long as other razors (only cause the block is gone the razor is still sharp though) But there quick and easy.. just be careful around you knee and ankle with them

I didn't have much luck with it. The smell was overwhelming, and my skin broke out in an awful rash afterwards, plus it didn't do nearly a good of a job as shaving, at least, for me.

I used to use Nair Bikini  until this one time it gave me an ingrown hair. Honestly though Nair Bikini rocked, left the skin very very smooth :) Note though, I'm not talking about my actual vulva, I'm talking about the part on top, like around the pubic bone.

I used it once, before I stopped shaving my legs. It stank, gave me big red bumps about the size of a dime all over my legs. It didn't remove the hair very well...Don't use it.

I use Nair Sensitive on my bikini area and its fine for me, I prefer it to shaving because it doesnt give me any side affects and it gets rid of most of the hair.

I would suggest trying a patch test on your wrist or ankle before you attempt to use it on a large area.

I have, it didn't burn though, but it did leave my legs feeling chemically fresh and smooth as a baby's bottom (not that i feel baby bottoms... or any bottoms)

I went ahead and bought some tonight so we will see......my bathroom is so tiny that shaving is so hard to do. The shower is barley big enough to turn around in and the counter by the sink is little too....so hopefully this stuff won't burn.

you weren't kidding though when you said it stank to high heaven! Whew!

Nair use to work for me when I was younger. I tried it recently and it didn't so much as touch one piece of hair on my leg.

i use it for my pubes- it works pretty well- it works really well on legs and it doesnt burn unless your doing your pubes and you leave it on too long- definately did that once and it hurt for a week

I can't use that stuff. It works, it takes the hair off, but it makes me itch to high heaven. i scratch my legs (or wherever I used it) until I have sort of a rash so I don't use it anymore.

oh wow, nair has so messed me up. i used it a few years ago on my legs and:

    1) the smell, oh the smell. wear a gas mask.
    2) my hair grew back in like 3 or 4 days.
    3) i stare at my legs sometimes and curse nair when i see the two hairs growing out of one folicle. i swear, close your eyes and point somewhere on my legs, and there'll be twins sprouting towards the sun.
    4) areas like around my knee have never had the hair grow back, although i can see the beginnings of it, but that's as far as it's grown in 3 years.
    5) little black ingrown hairs ALL OVER THE BACK OF MY CALVES!! i look like a freaking plucked chicken down there!
    6) a few months after i used it, i found something on my inner thigh that looked like a black ball. i thought it was just another ingrown hair, but then it got bigger, and bigger, and bigger, and i tried for so long to pop it out with my nails, but it took another few months till i got to the point where i could ignore the piercing pain and finish it off. the results? blood. a scar. blood. and if you finger that spot, you can feel a little hollowness under the scarskin. oh, and more blood. can't forget that, can we!
    7) i now have little versions of that black bastard all over my legs, and i pop at least one a week out, since that fateful day three long years ago.

how is my life now? i have a scar about the size of a dime (though very light), i'm still plucking away at my poor legs, and waxing is a way of life (but i glare at nair's wax on the shelf). the pain of ripping hairs out of fresh plump skin would put me off but... i can't feel it! and we all know who to thank for that!! i now warn my friends and fam and even strangers lingering around the nair stand about the sorrow one bottle can bring to their life. all heed my warning! yays! i'm doing good for mankind! those nairholes are so lucky i'm not suing. but i am a firm believer of Karma, and know those monsters will get what's coming. in the meantime, i'll just save other people's lives!

i tried a similar product and it burned my skin....so i sworn never to try any kind of chemical depilatory methods. I just ordered 450g of hot brazilian wax on ebay, so I can go on holiday and forget about shaving....my skin gets really irritated when i shave so i want to get rid of the hair (i know it will hurt like hell but it's just for a bit) then i wont have to shave again if i keep on waxing....i dont want to look like a monkey when i show off my legs on the beach hehehehehehe, nah, it's just that i dont want to feel pressure to shave ever again, it kinda makes me really conscious of my body hair and how uncomfortable it feels when it's hot.

Nair suks, tried it a long time ago and never again. not as bad as leelou by burned my skin and by the time that healed, all the hair had come back

waxing isn't so bad, just don't forget powder first so you don't rip the skin out with the hair

    happy hairless holiday, ZePpeLinA
