I've got an interview for the painting course today at university. I've decided my course really isnt for me and i love the painting and sculpture courses they just look so much better.. ....im nervous :S
just waltz in there, and say exactly wat you want outta it, they cant penalize you for being assertive! chin up pookiebum! you'll be fine and hey, anicca-cant last forever
Arg i dont know if it went ok.. i threw all my work at them at once almost and got all confused and scareded ........ i dont think they liked me I dont find out for a MONTH if i got in but i find out on friday if i got into sculpture.
of course they'll have liked you...you'll have just looked really enthusiastic! lol and ive seen sum of your work and if they re not impressed ill personally beat them round their ears with a wet kipper for sheer stupidity! you'll have done bonkertastically ace!!!!!! *chessey grin* and there is no point worrying about it in the mean time...you might as well enjoy your time in the magical resort of LIMBO...there is an outdoor pool, beach, neverending parties at the bar of aceness...blah...fantastic.....bloody great.........huggy wuggies....fab dabby...blah..
...........*raises eyebrow* i still dont feel they liked me. Ive always come out of interviews KNOWINGF they liked me or they didnt... im jsut good at that kind of thing. but for both of these interview i really didnt know and i have a horrible feeling they didnt
look sweetie, even if they didnt "like" you as such, which i still think is a pile of steaming elephant doodee, its not such a big deal. they have to judge you on your art, and they'll have known you were feeling a bit nervy! for interviews you only get a few members of the faculty and they can be really biased towards their likes/dislikes, its just the luck of the draw! i don't know about brighton, but up here they look out for ppl with ideas and not so much ppl who can just draw a pretty pic and of wat ive seen you have both in abundance! so get your sorry little mopey butt outside and enjoy the lovely weather and dont give those snotty, tightly wound old 4by 4's a second thot! that's right go on.....MOVE IT!!! lol
Well............i got rejected for my painting course.... which sucks cock. im a bit upset but hey i'll live. i find out in 3 weeks about painting but to be honest i dont hold much hope. so now i choose, stay on this course and hope it gets better... or leave uni and do something with my life.
But im not doing it for a degree, im gdoing it because i want to learn something and enjoy 3 years of my life. Im not learning much in my course really. and so far havent enjoyed it either.
pooo, double poooo...im sorry pumpkin! it really is entirely up to you, but dont give up just yet. im mean if you really dont want to carry on at uni and you dont get in to the painting course (utter crap) then y dont you work on you portfolio for a year and get a feel for what you wanna do? ive got two friends that gave up their course, one found something better (ceramics) and the other is just taking some time out and plans to go travelling. i think they both wonder what ould have happened, but neither of them regret their choices. good luck *huggy wuggies and slobbery bush baby kiss...with extra drool* p.s. have fun when you went out?
yes, and what im saying is that you should just get your degree, whos stopping you learning about what you want to learn? you dont need to be accepted for a course to simply go out and learn about it for yourself! plus if your in uni you'll have the added benifit of access to various departments and resources educate yourself about what you want you dont need to be accepted to do it
so you want to leanr stuff... i don't understand why you don't like the idea of going to do a foundation course... apparently its a greeat learning experience.. helping you to get into a degreee that you'd far more enjoy and get more out of... if its just do learn and enjoy yourself.. why can't you do that?
