Im doing some research into the relationship between drugs and music, more specifically which influences the other, do the drugs fit the music or the music the drugs?

Theres only so much you can find in books, so im asking for help.

Id like first hand experience of what got you interested in the music and what got oyu interested in drugs (if you are, and if you arent say why not please).

Was it friends gave them too you / turned you onto them.

Did you ever go to a concet / club where everyone was on drugs and make you decide to try it.

Why did you do it a second time (if you did). etc

Anyother information you might have would also be much appreciated.

I think its a little bit of everything mixed in at once. Drugs are everywhere, every state, almost every decent city. It can brake down so much. Music is the same way. I can honestly say the main reason for doing drugs (pot&ecstasy) is for my appreciation of music. Its so crisp and clear, lyrics clearerr then ever before..its simply wonderful. I feel so respectful to the music when im not on the drugs.

Both are a tap into that weird realm of enlightenment and found happiness that goes up then fades away. Both reach into that state of mind for happiness and playing of emotions.

I think music made drugs. Both play hand in hand but I still think that music touches people without hurting them.

I got into music from people. What they thought was cool I checked out. Then found this new found emotional high. Wow. The flexibitily. Drugs came with the yearn of the added perception that you get from them. That stuff needed to come but I don't ever feel dependent on that perception. I do feel needed in music.

Music is so much better then drugs. It forms them.

I don't think music has much of an effect on what you do. Some people think that listening to Evanescence makes you depressed but I strongly disagree with that.

All of that, I just ball up into anything. Music can take it's effect without drugs. But drugs certainly enhance the music to either a bad or good side of things. You be the chooser, you be the beholder. Me personally, I say music enhances the drugs. But this is denying the sublevel of music that had nothing to do with drugs. Depending on what drug, the music enhances the drug... on other types of drug... music is the thing being enhanced.
