something for free, but not for nothing

Hey now, sisters and brothers -

This may end up being long, so please bear with me. Here's the situation...I've already ordered and paid for a ticket to the much maligned Bonnaroo '05, and had every intention of going until fate made a decision for me, leaving it now virtually impossible for me to be able to go.

I had thought of seeling the ticket, and had offered it to someone from the forums, but have not heard back in two weeks. I'm no longer looking to seel the ticket, with the headaches of wondering if someone will send payment, etc., etc. So here's what I've decided to do...

I'm offering my ticket to Bonnaroo '05 up for free to someone here on the forums, I just don't know who yet. Anyone interested in the ticket should send me an e mail or private message, a few sentences to a short esssay saying why they should get a free ticket. Keep in mind I have a short attention span, so a book length message will probably just lose me. Whoever, in my sole opinion, deserves the ticket most or tells me the best story, will get the ticket, no cost, sent wherever they tell me to send it. (I'll even spring for the postage, must be feeling good for 4/20 or something)

Now, I do not have the ticket physically in my possession yet, as they do not ship until May 18. I figure I'll accept any messages sent up until May 18, will make my decision by the time I actually get the ticket in the mail, and will send it out so that whoever gets the ticket will have it in hand by about the last week in May.

So, if anyone at all is interested, get those messages/e-mails rolling!

just to keep things up to date, I have received all the requests sent. now I feel bad that I only have one ticket to give away, but at least I'll know that whoever gets the one I do have will be deserving. keep the messages/e-mails coming if you're interested, I'm still holding off on a decision uat least until responses stop coming in, or May 18, whichever is first.

 

okay, well, Ive picked a winner and that person has been notified by e mial. Again, I wish I had a ticket for everyone who wrote, but sadly I don't. Best vibes to all who sent me e mails, and good luck to anyone still seeking a ticket.
