I never really claimed to be a hippie. I am a grateful dead fan, not as hardcore as actual dead heads but definitely more deadicated than most fans of musicians. However, to the outsider, my appearence through the 90s and that of a hippie were very similar.

And by the way, the first computer was finished in 1942... much longer before true hippies existed.
Apple computer was invented in 1976, by Steven Wozniak and Steven Jobs.
They worked on their project "lucy" before 1979.

Even by the 1960's IBM developed computers that people used at work all the time

IBM by the way has been around since 1880.... and has made a variety of computers throughout the 60s and 70s.

Have you ever watched a movie on the history oof computers? Hippies were the ones developing these things during the 70s...

The first personal computer was built in the 70's... indeed, hippies and computers do mix... some of those considered to be in the original hippy movement helped develope PC's to become what they are today.
I think you guys are just fishing for a reason to bitch at the "hippies"... but first, you should take a history lesson before you look like a fool, again.
