You step out front for a smoke. After lighting up, you look to the left and see a wave bigger than the trees and buildings in the distance--gaining powerful momentum. You are obviously getting wet, but do you scramble because it's nature to do so? Could you fight that feeling?
How many could honestly remain calm and embrace it as if it were going to be nothing?

well i know exactly waht you mean and i only hope i could... doubt it tho... but seeing something that extreme would be surreal. It would seem impossible, and in situations like that people often get totally spaced out and can't move at all. in milwaukee, where i live, this gigantic crane fell on the new stadium when they were building it. It was so tall taht anyone could see it driving by and as it fell, people on the freeway stopped their cars and just kind of stared. Hopefully that's what would happen to me in the tsunami situation

ah, a tsunami. well i would like to say that i could stand there and accept it, and not just run. but if it actually happened? i'm not so sure...
