In my philosophy club, our sponsor/teacher/leader of the club asked us to do some research on Joseph Ratzinger and his mother. I was just browsing around on the internet when I came to his bio on Wikipedia Encyclopedia. I skimmed through, and when I saw the title "Dialogue with other faiths" I thought it would just be some stuff on his views regarding Jews and Muslims and Pagans and such. However I was surprised when he actually mentioned Buddhism (I didn't think that Catholicism considered it a big religion). Here is the paragraph I am referencing:

Very Interesting...:) I didn't think the new pope even cared about us!*

    :) In love,
    Diana

*Hehe, this is just a lil'joke I found while looking at the Wiki encyclopedia under Buddhism:

By the way, ;) no disrespect is meant to Catholics or Christians, I'm just fooling around. No disrespect is meant to the pope either. I am sure he will do many benevolent things in office, he too has the Buddha nature.

    :) In love,
    Diana

Excuse my ignorance, but what does it mean to posses the buddha nature?
