I wonder has anybody of you met famous people (mb some cool actors or rock stars )? i never did , just on TV. and if you met , did you llke them? do they look just like on the screen?
i met samuel L jackson one time...he was nice i met sam from the format (a band...big in arizona), he was very sweet... thats about it...
I'm really boring. I've never met an international superstar. I did see Brad Pitt once, though. They where filming Ocean's Eleven in Amsterdam, and he passed by the same street as me. Didn't look for any contact, though. The man is probably very busy. I've also seen mr. Tarantino himself. But seeing is not the same as meeting, I'm afraid.
I once hung out with Rudy from the Cosby Show... I used to be friends with her little brother. Also I see about a Redskin everyday.
Stephen Baldwin punched me in the face. *swooooon* It was on the set of his movie "Fled". I was an extra playing the part of an asshole reporter, and he socks me one. He never apologized.
damn, you should've punched Stephen back, even if you were an extra. I always wanted to hit a baldwin in the face.
I got Johnny Wisemueller's (sp?) - Tarzan's autograph for my Mom when I was about 6. She was too embarrassed to do it - he was obviously gay and VERY drunk. But nice to me - I think he liked being asked in front of all of the guys he was with at the time.. Oh, oh and I met Vincent Price. I got him to autograph a complete works of Edgar Allen Poe for me - I still have it. I went and saw him in a play - 'Oliver' and he came outside of a back door afterwards and signed for everybody there. Most of the people had his cookbooks, I think he liked the EAP. He was a HUGE man, as in tall and broad shoulders. Really towering.
lol. After seeing the movie, I sure wanted to! They cut half my scene, too. Now I'm just standing there with a dopey look on my face. So much for my one shot at the bigs.
I almost got into a fight with Kurt Cobain once. My friend and I were 14 and hanging around outside of a club here in Seattle. We were smoking cigs and Cobain flipped a lid, screaming in our faces for smoking and pretty much looking for a fight. a couple of other guys with him grabbed him and pulled him inside before things got ugly. To be honest, I didn't know who he was at the time until my friend told me later on. I was working security at a building downtown when they were shooting scenes for the movie "Assassins" starring Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas. Had just worked a full shift dealing with crowd control and I was mentally drained. They had a table set out with a nice spread that I wasn't allowed to touch, but we could help ourselves to beverages if we wanted. I grabbed a soda at the same time Stallone was grabbing a water. he looked at me and said "Looks like they're keeping you busy." I wasn't sure how to respond, so I just said "yeah, it's a job." He chuckled at that and wished me well. Just an all around nice guy. and SHORT!!! I was suprised at that. I'm not a tall guy, but I think I was a bit taller than him. Antonio on the other hand was a bit snobby. He and Melanie Griffith were in line at the theater in the building making out in a non-sexy, sloppy way. When Stallone got to the ticket booth, he had no problem paying for a ticket. Banderas and Griffith, on the other hand, took this "don't you know who I am?" type of attitude. I was not impressed. Met various performers from around here as well. a few members of Heart, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Danny Barnes, Chris Cornell, Matt Chamberlain, Mitch Hedberg, Dan Savage, and also ran into Siouxsie Sioux walking through downtown Seattle while she was supposed to be playing a show in Portland.
Wow guys. Cool stories. Up at the luxery resort we have a vacation house and celebrities got houses up there and the whole works. They walk around all the time and people treat them like normal humans. My grandpa was at the golf course at the resort and Arnold Swharznegger (?) happened to be lined up with him on the same team. So they talked about heart surgeries and the such. Gramps was a neurologist. Thought that cool. On the Roseanne show, my dad got bummed a ciggerette off of from either the mom Roseanne or Darlene. One of the two. This was at the resort too.
mom my was going out with matt damons former step-dad (who he is close with). I got to spend christmas at matt damons house and he got me a video camera and I barely knew him. he was a really nice guy.
I split a pitcher of beer with Jack Layton, at the pit pub at UBC. Also me and a friend just about got in a fight with the band Death By Stereo in february. Those are the only two i've met.
I used to work for the Marriott across from the concert arena in the city for six years... You meet a lot of people working in a place like that, Try to get a job in the gift shop or as a bell hop.. I believe I met more in the gift shop. People like to pick put their own magazines. In the gift shop I met AC/DC, Skid Row, Freddy Fender, Ruth Pointer, Arnold Shwarzenegger, Ric Flair, Gilligan, Terry Taylor, Flyin Brian Pillman, Beautiful Bobby EAton, Lex Lugor, Arn Anderson, C&C Mucic Factory, Steve Vai, Bobby Brown (Whitney sood back with her head down with that scarf on), more wrestlers.. AS a bell hop I met Dennis Miller, Travis Tritt, LA Lakers, Harlem Globetrottrers, James Brady, Kenny G, Jay Rockefeller, Doug and Julie from Days of Our Lives.. If you get a job in a hotel and want to meet people, Don't get the front desk, they mostly meet the road managers.. I grew up in the same town as Jerry West, I met CAsius Clay when I was little, and I stumbled into the middle of Lynyrd Skynyrd (Johnny not Ronnie band) and Bad Company (two separate occasions)once before I ever worked in a hotel. Gary Rossington and Dale Krantz opened with Rossington Collins THEN played with Skynyrd, They were drained.. Everybody I met was nice but Skid Row.
