Yes, cheers for that link, I'm checking it out. I've done extensive research from this web site too http://www.blunt.co.uk/ Theres a v-v-long video you can download that details how to grow Hydroponically. I'm quite clued up on the subject to be honest, just a bit difficult to put it into practice at the mo.
cool no idea whats going on with hydro, soil all the way for me carefull with that blunt place some of the prices seem a bit ott
I am torn between voting Green party (who would do a brilliant job but are never going to get in thinking about things realistically) and Lib Dem (who are the lesser of the 3 evils i guess and have half a chance of getting elected) Though i'm tempted to vote tory because Michael Howard impressed me against jeremey paxman lol...Not many people can handle the Pax man...oh and Boris Johnson makes me larff ! but no, its green or lib dem, green or lib dem, green or lib dem :s
"Corrupt Corrupt from the mountain top and you tell me its the law" I think that McDermotts 2 hours lyric sums up politics nicely
Woah! I always thought the line was "from the bottom to the top". I like the way I've been singing it better, so I'm gonna carry on singing the wrong lyrics I'd vote Green if you feel yourself ideologically closer. The Lib Dems aren't going to get into power nationally, and thinking long term, strong votes for radical parties help to shift the mainstream agenda in that direction. Environmental issues were largely ignored until very high votes for the Greens led to all of the mainstream parties adopting policies on climate change and recycling. Also, if we ever manage to get a PR sytem, minor parties will be better placed to pick up a few seats. The Greens may also win their first MP at this election in Brighton Pavillion, which will certainly put them on the map....
I voted yesterday my first time voting in a general election ever...was less exciting then i thought...and quicker to.. it's in the post already..
green all the way i don't belive tactical vote shit that's blair's myth if u believe in democracy u should vote whoever u like i think this tactical vote story comes from tony blair and looks like another sep.dossier 4 me another pr exercise(alistair campbell's idea perhaps)
Green. I can't vote yet, but I know who I would vote for. Not tactical I"m interpreting this as what you would like to happen so...
What the fuck?!? The Labour party's always been strongly opposed to tactical viting which is why they refused to enter into an arrangement with the Lib Dems whereby they'd stand down each other's candidates in seats which they had no chance of winning. The Lib Dems are strong advocates of tactical voting and are the most likely to benefit from it. It has absolutely nothing to do with Blair and Labour.
Yup. It's Charlie who really wants us to vote tactically - and Gordon of course. Howard wants us to sit on our arses and not bother, and Tony needs to get the highest turnout possible. Sadly it looks like I'll be helping the tories this year!
Actually, it's Billy Bragg, he's very hot on tactical voting this year. This is his site on it: http://www.tacticalvoter.net/
Billy Bragg's hardly representative of the Labour party, is he? Anyway, there's nothing wrong with tactical voting as a means to an end. Tactical voting, for instance, has the most chance of producing a strong Lib Dem showing, and a strong Lib Dem showing is about the only chance we've got of getting PR in this country. And if we get PR, then we can actually start voting for who we believe in.
I'm going to vote either Liberal Democrats or The Green Party. The former would be tactical, the later idealist. I haven't voted Green in the past due to some slightly luddite policies but the candidate in my area has her head screwed on and has some really good plans that would work. BUT, i'm a tactical vote whore and so far it looks to be Lib dem since they were quite close to labour and thrashed tories in my local constintuency*. They also did not 'flip flop' (i hate that term - it was coined in the bush campaign) over the war. For all other tactical voters, and people just curious, there are some excellent guides on the BBC website. *The page below can show you last election's results in your area if you enter your postcode: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/constituencies/default.stm It also lists who's running - but you'll have to actually cut and paste their details into a search engine to find out what their policies are! (if they have a website). ~
It's so cool you're taking an interest and getting involved chris... most voting age people don't even bother!
