I saw this movie Psych-Out and I loved it.
It is a movie about a deaf girl that is searching for her brother in the Haight. But see gets caught by the haight scene. See falls in love with Jack Nicholson who plays the band-leader of a band called the mumblin Jim.
It's a movie shot in 1968 in the Haight district. With real film footage from the Haight of that time. The story is a bit lame but you will love the movie.
The music is great with Psychedelic music from The Strawberry Alarm Clock and The Seekers.

    Neat! - I want to see 'Psych-Out'.

I have seen 'The Trip' which is similar.I wasn't too impressed with 'The Trip'.

If you are interested; I have a black & white photo of 'The Strawberry Alarm Clock' in my photo-gallery.

In the movie you see the Strawberry Alarm Clock live @ the Avalon. Dont know if this is the real avalon ballroom but the Strawberry Alarm Clock is real. There playing Rainy day mushroom pillow and Man on fire. Really great stuff with psychedelic lightshow and a dancing crowd.
In Europe you can order the movie from England and Germany on DVD.

i love this movie, i've watched it over and over again. Lame story, yes, but it's the sixties, and the music is great.
