took a resin hit too long and started melting the plastic downpipe in my bong and i could taste it pretty bad. but i kept hittin for a bit caus i was greedy yeh i know i shouldnt but its never an issue unless im takin resin hits caus i use thick traditional green hose and it normally stays perfectly in tact but im dry at the moment and wanted to milk it oh well im buzzed yay (had maths and physics exams today *vomit*) its not a tiny buz either. that was a lot of resin buildup, you should see the bong water i was thinkning could you get resin by evapourating bong water and smoking the leftover paste stuff? wouldnt be good for you.. but there definately would be a noticable amount of thc in that water. the layer of oil on top is decent too. id make a lucky guess that oil is where the most of the cannabinoids would be.
Interesting thought, but I don't think it would work. THC isn't water soluble so i don't think there would be any left over in the bong water. I guess there's no harm in trying though
do your research duhhh it has been found to dissolve in good enough amounts in water. now the test conditions were, un my oppunion, most probably much more eratic and so dissolving than normal bong use. because we all know bongs get you highest...
As I understand it, THC is VERY slightly soluble, but anything that dissolved into the bong water would be insufficient to get you high. Maybe I'm wrong but everything i've read points in that direction. Give it a shot though man, let us know the result.
hehe ive youve been in a forum like this for long enough you see a lot of evidence float around the place. there is a possibility that it is a huge buildup of the other cannabinoids in weed that there would be caus some are water soluable
plus if you keep your bong water very cold... or use ice in your bong... seeing as how cold water extraction works for making hash.... cold water extraction would remove thc from the smoke as it is filtering through the water... leaving even a more than average amount of thc in your bong water
Do you feel that bongs should be put with warmer water then? I've gotten use to cold water bongs and don't enjoy bongs with non-cold water nearly as much. I've noticed it's much harsher. Man this is a pretty important topic...bongs and thc being water soluble. Theres been evidence to go either way....what are us stoners supposed to think?!!?
nar cold water extraction works on the basis that thc doesnt dissolve in the weter, the water just acts like a really efficient kief-screen. yeh well i think the only way would be for more studies ad in fact, more personal studies. people need to go get their THC testing kits and check their water. see if its different when the weed is mixed with tobacco. see if vapourising througha bong does it. see if using different types of lighters changes its soluability even. theres so many little things that could affect it
a plastic bong? ah man. Yea u could smoke that stuff... its just res thats been in water man. but i dont usually... just scrape if im that desperate. Definitely has enuf THC in it to get you high, though... I would suggest just straining it instead of evaporating it, though. Cold water in a bong is a must, I wont have it any other way... ice is the best... The only way to test the thc content in herb is by doing a gas chromatography analysis....and the only people that have the resources and equipment to do that are professionls in the scientific community more often times than not.
