I've been a huge fan of the films their films for years. I've seen The Big Lebowski, Raising Arizona, Barton Fink, The Hudsucker Proxy, Millers Crossing, Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou and parts of Blood Simple.

My favorite is The Big Lebowski, or perhaps Barton Fink.

I remember a few summers ago, I would watch the Big Lebowski every night, at about 2 AM in the morning, and I would always find it hilarious. There are some absolutely hilarious lines in this film, and the scenes and details of the scenes are wonderful. In the start of the film, when The Dude gets home, and those two guys are waiting for him and push his head in the toilet and ask "wheres the fucking money Lebowski?!", afer having shoved his head in the toilet several times, he says "uh, it's down there somewhere, let me take another look"; and even in the same scene there are small things that are difficult to notice. For example, you see that the bar where you put the toilet paper is empty, yet right next to it is the toilet paper... The Dude is obviously too lazy to put it on the bar.

I think that if it was aired on a channel which censors curses, every five seconds they would have to edit out a word.

You know, I've only seen Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou?, and Intolerable Cruelty, but I really like those first and third films, particularly Fargo (I actually just watched it last night). It's a hilarous movie actually, in a dark, twisted way.

Marge: "Was that your accomplice in the wood chipper?" (LOL!)

O Brother Where Art Thou? was kind of a let-down for me. It was much too slow for my liking. I respect it though, as well as people who enjoy it, because I can definitely see what it would hold for others, as opposed to me.

Love the brothers. My personal favorite is still Raising Arizona.

The only disappointment I've had with them has been "Intolerable Cruelty". Maybe it was the blarring music, I'm not sure, but it was way over the top for me.

I just wanted to add that "The man who wasn't there" was surprisingly good. I usually don't like Billy Bob Thornton as an actor, he seems kind of "limited" to certain roles but he did a great job in this one.

I didn't know that "Raising Arizona" was directed by the Coen brothers.
I vaguely remember "The Hudsucker Proxy" and "Barton Fink"..I guess I wasn't that impressed. Fargo is nice and I think "O Brother Where Art Thou" was dull, so yeah "The Big Lebowski" is hilarious but I'm tired of watching it...who isn't?

Fargo was excellent, but I love O Brother, Where Art Thou? I own a copy and will pop it in every month or so. In fact, I watched it about two nights ago and still laugh in the same places.

I forget what it's called but there's that Film Noir style one with Billy Bob Thorton in it and it's all about life as a barbor. It's a really beautiful film!

I also of course love Oh Brother, Fargo, Lobowski, and Raising Arizon...man and everything they've made. The Coens make excellant movies. They're prob my favorite film makers.

“You go to our movies for four different reasons: to laugh, cry, get scared, and get a hard on. If you can do all four at the same time, hey, it’s the ultimate pizza combo” (Ethan Coen).

oh the coen brothers. deffinitely my favourite film makers. I remember seeing Fargo when I was 9 or 10 and being a little traumatized. I've seen all of their movies, except I've only seen half of Intolerable Cruelty, which was disappointing from what I did see, and was less that impressed with Ladykillers. I hope they're not losing their touch.

Love the Coens. Even though it's considered one of their lesser movies, I've always really liked the Hudsucker Proxy.
