I am very interested in starting stained glass, but I have no idea what to do first. It was suggested by someone that I take a class first, but I honestly don't know what to do: Should I get a little kit & start with that, or should I take the class and learn how to make my own designs?

I would take a class first, just to see if it is something you would really be into. There is a lot of materials needed to start up, and the cost of them is pretty high. Take a class that supplies materials needed, and then go from there. Some schools offer it, or if you know of any actual stained glass gurus you could contact them and see if they would be willing to teach you. Good luck!

    buy a book first....thats what i did..

classes can be very spendy..... that money could go to tools and supplies...and then just experiment...its really not that hard

I used to work in a Stained Glass gallery, it's tricky stuff. The only way to learn it properly is have someone show you the ropes, so maybe take a one day course or something just to get the basics and then keep having a go yourself. It's beautiful stuff
