1844 is a more important year in my opinion, it's the year where the Jews first got the option to go back to Israel. And that's EXACTLY predicted in the bible, in Daniel. And no, I'm not going to look it up for you.

Yet, ultimately, what is the source of the middle east conflict!..... ISRAEL

The return of the Jews to Israel is the key to Bible prophecy. Most other endtime prophecies depend on the Jewish people living in Israel and not scattered amongst the Gentiles. Israel has not existed as a nation since hundreds of years before the birth of Christ.

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO WATCH ISRAEL!

Israel is as narrow as only 60 Km. wide, and is less than 21,000 total sq. Km. (About the same size as New Jersey or Vancouver Island) However, despite its small size, Israel is often the Center of World attention.

Your just mad because we are giving stuff that shows that there may be validity to the Bible and that is something you do not want to hear. BECAUSE, if there is validity to the Bible than that means you would have to change your life for the good which is something you do not want to do (Unless you strait up reject the truth).... so you will do anything to discredit the Bible.....

The Middle East (specifically, Mesopotamia) is the site of the earliest well-known civilization. It may be referred to as the cradle of the human race, and there has been conflict there since the dawn of man. From Ur to Kadesh, to the Assyrian invasions, to the events in the Balkans that incited World War I, the Middle East has never ceased to be embroiled in conflict.

Furthermore, the Vatican is much smaller than Israel and is just as often the center of attention. England is roughly the size of Oregon and is spoken about just as readily.

I'm not mad. I find it silly that you put so much faith in the Bible. It's possible to draw some historical data from the stories, but that is where the validity ends. It's just an exaggerated tale, like those of King Arthur, Robin Hood, and Gilgamesh. It's a moral guideline, like Aesop's fables. It's a good book, a great story (though I prefer the Silmarillion) - but it's not (watch out for this pun) the gospel truth.

I warrant that I live quite a virtuous life. The idea that I "would have to to change my life for the good" is hilarious. Thanks for the early-morning laugh.

Well look who thinks he's better than everyone else.

    Ah well.

Campbell...the rest of post #82. You only responded to one tiny part of it and ignored the rest.

"Unique among all books ever written, the Bible accurately foretells specific events--in detail--many years, sometimes centuries, before they occur."
and yet, heaven is still referred to as "in the clouds". So they couldnt quite grasp basic science but they could forsee events that would occurr thousands of years in the future...
And there is nothing detailed about the predictions made in the bible. If they were so detailed, why werent they detailed enough to actually say "United States" or exact dates? Any vague prediction can be fit to past events...its just a matter of time before a prediction can be fit to a certain event.

No I'm not agitated at all. If you read the text you would understand the context it was written in. The same Bible that stated that the East Gate would have a porch built on it, and that porch would be sealed, and all attempts to enter it would fail, and only Christ could walk through it, is accurate in all of its prophecies. Jerusalem had many Gates, yet only the East Gate fulfilled the Prophecy. And what is funny, is the one's who sealed up the Gate were one's who hated the Bible. Even in their stupidity, they fulfilled Gods Word.

YOU NEVER HEARD OF THE EAST GATE PROPHECY?
The Bible states that the East Gate in Jerusalem would have a porch built on to the Old East Gate, but that could not happen untill hundreds of years later when the Old East Gate was buried, then another Gate was built on top of it. The prophecy stated that would be the porch gate, and it would be sealed which it was, and it was sealed up by men who hated the Bible. Then the prophecy stated that after it was sealed no man would ever walk through the gate again, and all attempts would end in failure. They have. The Gate is sealed today, and the Bible states the only one who will ever be allowed to walk through that Gate is Jesus Christ when He returns. No vague prediction here. Just people who don't have a clue.

Wait, the Bible says that there would be a porch built onto the Old East Gate, but it wasn't, and was instead built onto the East Gate that was build over the buried Old East Gate?

Either you or the Bible isn't making any sense. Which is it?

When the Bible states that the jews will return from the east, west, south, and the north it's telling you they are returning from a world wide displacement.

Also remember, the Jews are the only people in the history of the world, who returned and took their land back after 2000 years. Most races would of been long gone, but not the Jew. And I'm sure that is one of the reason's God picked them for His people.

Also, the Bible did not say the Jews would have the stongest army or they would produce the most food ect, ect. God only stated to the prophets during the time of exile that God would not forget His people, and He would return them back to land of Israel in the latter days. God also told them they would once again have a strong army, and He would make them a great producer of food ect. Which He has. The fact that America supports Israel is consistant with scripture, because scripture states that both America and Israel will be attacked by Russia in the latter days. The Bible clearly states that all of America's cities will burn and be consumed with fire, and America will be destroyed in one hours time.

The Old East Gate is underground, the porch is the sealed East gate that you see today. The Old East Gate is the foundation of the Sealed East Gate.

Because if a gate wasn't a porch their theories would have a gaping hole.

And give me (With the exact words Russia, America, and Isreal in them) the Bible chapter/verse that flat out says (and I mean I can quote it acutractly) that "Russia will attack America and Israel." I've read the Bible twice as has my dad and I can't remember the words Russia or America popping up.

Seriously, biblical prophecy is major news, and the East Gate Prophecy was front page news! How can you be so ignorant not to know about these obscure predictions? Gosh!

Please, show me a passage which explains in detail EXACTLY what you just said, countries and all.

Let do are A,B,Cs, first. The Christian Church is only here today because of the Old Testament. Yet the name of Jesus Christ will never be found in the Old Testament. So, why do Christians follow Jesus and believe He is God?

Porch- An open or enclosed gallery or room attached to the outside of a building; a verandah.
The Original East Gate was a building and a Gate. The New East Gate, the one we now see is attached to the building and gate which is buried. A porch is a section that is attached to a building, and can also act as a covering. Which the new East Gate does very well.
