Why Isn't Homosexuality Considered A Disorder On The Basis Of Its Medical Consequence

It doesn't sound to me like people here want to actually pursue this in an open-minded manner, but I'd still like to point out just a couple of things.

The article & its refrences still fail to prove that homosexuality, itself, is a disorder, or causes any medical consequence.

Cars kill more Americans each year than any other approved product. Would you suggest that people with a drivers license suffer from a disorder, or passengers? Would you suggest that cars have medical consequences? Historically, more people have died in the name of religion than all the major medical epidemics, combined. Would you suggest that religious persons suffer from a disorder, or that religion leads to medical consequence?

What the article sites is examples of poor personal decision making. This may be more present in homosexuals, for a variety of reasons, but the correlation between sexual orientation and medical consequence does not suggest causation. The cause is risky behaivor.

 

there is a way to cure homophobia, it's called crucifixion... in fact, this great method also works to cure Racism.

 

How can any person with the ability to think accept the concept that same sex orientation could be "cured" or for that matter should be. The author & for that matter NARTH itself is operating purely from homophobic fear. Open minded? I think that you should choose your terms better.

ok, i know my 2 cents never really make sence, but i just have to coment on this. Now i'm not sure about "Fisting" but i'm prety darn sure that a whole lot of stright couples do a lot of "playing with toys" and , of chours, a lot of stright couples have anal sex.

 

Reading this thread just confirms one thing to me
