Fahrenheit 9/11

It seems like the ultimate slap in the face to the Bush Administration.

And the commercial makes it an interesting movie to see, because they use the Ten Years After song "I'd Love To Change The World" as background music.

 

I'm not sure if I want to see it yet. There's another movie coming out. It's an independant film and mostly art theatres show it. It's called Control Room. I definitly want to see that. Maybe these movies will finally make the more general public really concerned about the situation that we're in.

 

Michael Moore is such an asshole some times personly i think that it will suck

I do plan on seeing it. After all, someone has to supply the slob with the money for his Twinkees and Whoppers.

But really, what Moore is covering is hardly new to informed audiences. Alex Jones (http://www.infowars.com) has already made several similar documentaries that have went largely unnoticed by mainstream audiences.

 

I'm really looking forward to seeing his movie. It will be interesting to see the reviews come out, once it hits the theaters...

I LOVED "The Awful Truth" and "Bowling for Columbine" I think he's a very well-spoken articulate guy who stands behind what he believes. .

Did you read the blog on his site where he gave away the tax break that Bush gave to him (cuz he's wealthy). .

Is the film going to be aired in America now? Who will show it and where? Will it be before the elections? And do you think the film's victory in the Cannes film festival helped break the censorship barriers restricting it in the US?

 

It opens here on the 25th of this month.

 

Matt might not be the thinest person alive, but he is certainly no Michael Moore. MM is about 10X the size of Matt.

You could probably fit about four of me into Michael Moore's pants. I may have a bit of chunk on me, but Michael Moore is just flat-out disgusting. He must make a steady diet of fast-food, being as morbidly obese as he is. The guy is just a total, flat-out slob - just look at him. I can only imagine the odor he must emit.

 

Just for the record, Matt is not obese.

I was just watching the news and it had an interview with MM and all I can say is that his personality irritated me.

 

Fahrenheit 9/11 appears to be yet another satire by Michael Moore filled with lies and spoofs. For one thing, Moore ripped the title off of Ray Bradbury's classic, Fahrenheit 451, and boy is Ray Bradbury pissed off at him.

For another, one of the main points of the film is that Bush had close ties to the bin Laden family and so authorized for the bin Laden family to leave the country. However, that's just not true. It was Richard Clarke, the guy who used to be in the Bush administration but left it and became anti-Bush, who authorized the bin Laden family to leave. Isn't that ironic? It was a left-wing Bush-hater who allowed the bin Laden family to leave, not Bush, and yet Moore spends a great deal of the film explaining how it was Bush who let the bin Ladens leave. Bush didn't even know about it - he wasn't informed till much later. Yet another Moore lie uncovered - don't waste your money on this movie.

 

Obese? C'mon now. I am definitely not obese. A little overweight perhaps, but that is different from being obese. I weigh about 180-185 lbs, whereas Michael Moore looks to be around 350 lbs AT LEAST.

anyways, I look forward to seeing this movie, it should be entertaining. I don't expect to learn anything new from it, but hopefully other people will.
