    it's that time a year again, found a lil over 30 #"s man they are great any1 else searchin or finding any?

    My father went out a few weeks ago and found just a few, but he only looked for like 15 minutes... I think it was maybe 10 total.... fried them bad boys up... yummy!

    wow! I'd been so busy that morel hunting hadn't crossed my mind. MAybe we've had enough snow this year!
    the best patches were in the Hayman fire in 2002, so this could be the year.
    Thanks for reminding!

    still early here,, been awful cool,, man come middle of next month,, damn the morrels we gotta honey hole of chantrells that would blow yer mind..

    No huntin to it,, they everywhere...

    Hippiehillbilly, you are in Northern Alabama, right? and you're saying the season is early? Interesting, I thought that in this area (I'm in North Tennessee, less than three hours from Huntsville) that season was well gone, but if not, that's awesome. I'm going off of some info I found online, but I don't know much of morels.

    ellijay georgia,, climate is much like that of your area,,, and we harvested like 3 pounds of chantrells the first week of july last year...

    should be startin to come out soon..

    Awesome, thanks for the info. Sounds like the VERY beginning of blackberry season and mushrooms overlap!
