Argh.. Im making this apron skirt n its just taking too long and I feel like venting... Ive got fuck all selling on ebay and someone stiffed me for my mushroom apron top. Why the hell must these non paying bitches bid on my stuff?? Do they get a thrill off it or what? Ok I am done for now...back to the skirt .. haha
Why DO people not pay? I've always wondered that... I'm sorry about your apron top, by the way. Oh, but I do definately know what it feels like to have stuff take too long to make. It takes me DAYS to make a skirt/dress because I don't have a sewing machine. I hope you finish it sooon!
yeah i just had a non paying bidder on the skirt i re-listed. now no one is bidding and im kinda pissed. fkin ebay meanies
It wasnt even a lot...she won it for like $25 GRRRRRR sitting zen you make dresses and skirts by hand sewing? WOW
It takes me a week to layout and sew up sidepanels for my pants. I dunno... I must be overthinking it or doing something wrong. Karma has a way of getting all those non-payers.
I, too am a sloooow sewer. It literally takes me days to finish things..sometimes over a week. I guess its because i am a stickler for details ...plus i have 4 kids lol
it can really take that long to make a skurt? my mom has a machine but i don't know how to ues it and i don't like machines, so i gess i will be taking that week or so. but mabey i shuold first learn how to sew. sitting zen i like your peace pic. apple seed
if you pay great attention to each and every detail and especially if you do detailed appliques..yes, it can take that long
Yeeeah... It's a lot harder than with a machine/serger because I have to do the seams an obnoxiously complex way (fold the side seam area in half, stitch, fold in half again so that the raw edge is kind of in a tube, stitch, iron, iron, iron, iron) so that they don't unravel if I wash them in the washing machine. I'm actually almost done with a dress I've been working on (and I'm already displeased with it *rolls eyes*) And apple seed... Thanks! I found the picture online in... I donno, something news related. *coughs*
Yay I am done! I am still toying with the idea of a butterfly applique on the petticoat in the back. I think I may. It would make the petticoat saucier if worn alone which was super cute when i tried it on... Depends on how ambitious I am when I look at it tomorrow.... that back pic is a lil sloppy..haha
Ooooh that's reeeeally nice! I absolutely adore the fabrics (and the trim!). It looks like you put some work into it. Good job.
It is beautiful! I really like the colors you used..i am currently making a peyote stitch that would match it perfectly!
ive not made peyote stitches in ages..I have that huge one that went on that peace pipe in my closet...it brings back some good memories :sunglasse I really like this skirt the more i look at it...still undecided as far as the applique...
The finished product is here... I opted for the butterfly... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5387812984
