Happy Beltane!!! I hope you all have a fantastic time, and enjoy yourselves and each other very much. Im going to be part of the fire festival on Calton hill, mad nakid drummingness and dancing.....is going to be great. im part of the earth point and they are all such sweethearts, some of the best people i have ever met! although im sooooo tired-we all slept together last night and i was up with the sun doing yoga and meditating, then practicing the run through on the hill all day....eeeeek! where am i going to get the energy from, and im not even allowed intoxicants now ive taken my vows..... anyways have fun! I hate to piss on your fireworks, but I've never understood the point of taking a pagan festival and turning into essentially the same thing as christmas by going around and saying 'happy beltane' to people. Always seemed to me like it was kinda missing the point somewhat. I can't imagine a load of celts wandering round going 'happy beltane' to each other! Next thing you know, we'll all be sending each other Happy Beltane cards and buying Beltane presents! Grrrr. [/rant]
