I don't make anything too complicated. I use verry few peices of fabric and keep it not too busy. I like it simple. I made this dress today and the top also. Really simple peices, yet i find them verry nice. It's basically 2 peices of fabric. It's an A-line and floats right above the floor. The tie consists of thick but pointy ends at the top ends of the fabric, you can tie it at the back or on the side, it's kind of like a towel, but with some shape. At the back(or wherever you choose to place the tieing end) are the flowing ends of the rest of the dress. (does that make any sense??) haha. The second peice(attached image) is just a top, almost the same principle as the dress, just less flowy at the back. I also have a skirt made with the same patterned fabric.
