It is sad when drugs take the life of people and even worse when it is publisized. I really hate that it happened at 'roo because now the festival will get a bad rep.
i thinks its awful how in the bonnaroo news paper that they put out. one pretty much told you how to make nos. and the fact that it was such a drug friendly inverment wasnt good either. i think they need to inforce the drug issue. they say no drugs but i beat the promoters are sparking a bowl
Hey, 3 people died at Woodstock, yet 3 were born, and that's one insignificant reason why that festival is legendary. Were there any births at Roo?
dude it was 150,000 people partying their asses off course there is going to be some poeple who are irresponsible its inevitable, stopping people from smoking pot at a dead concert wouldnt change that. at least the manpower isnt wasted on repressing it but rather facing hte facts and dealing with it.
That's sad but people die all the time. I had two "friends" (people i partied with) that O.D.ed. ive been to large raves that people died. drugs arent the isssue... it's people lack of self-control... and no, marajuana is never to blame... er, i could go on but i wont.
yes, you're right. but it's also almost impossible to O.D. if you control yourself... and research things and THINK.
My mom was pointing out all the bad stuff about bonnaroo that she read from various papers. Yeah, 2 people died, and thats aweful, but 2 out of 150,000 people isn't too bad. I couldn't believe how many people were getting drunk during the day when it felt like it was 110 degrees outside. Lots of people were very irresponsible, 2 were just really unlucky too. i also had never seen so many people doing nitrious(i know thats not spelled right) It just comes back to the comment i made in another forum. Half the people were there for the music, the other half just wanted to get really messed up. It's a shame that thats what some people will associate the festival with. But oh well.. they don't really understand anyway.
actually it was a guy and a girl that both died. the guy actually died of a heart condition- not drug related - and the girl, well they dont have the cause of death for her yet. but it is pretty stupid that the news all went and said that 2 people died of drug use when its obvious that they didnt even know and were just assuming. I bet if it was some "country" festival they wouldve never speculated anything like that.
you know yeah it's sad but they should know what they are doing before they do it, obviously you don't do hard drugs in the middle of the day, it was hot as hell! like atleast 100, and if you're dumb and don't bring water you're going to overheat, you have to know your limits, and 2 out of how many people were there is normal, people die all the time, it's like 2 people out a small city dying in 3 days.. it's going to happen, if it was drugs, then they should have been smarter.
I saw on the news last night that the doctor who examined the man that died said he died of some kind of heart failure, and even though there were drugs in his system, they had absolutely nothing to do with his death. I don't know anything about the girl that died, though. I thought some guy got hit by a truck last year....was that just something the cops told us to keep us from getting pissed off in traffic???
the tiny little fest i went to in new york had deaths. it happens. its sad, but it doesnt mean the fest is bad. on the other hand a friend in hs od'd in his home, by himself. its not the fest environment or the fest's fault. its people using and abusing and not being careful/knowing what theyre doing. its sad...
thousands die each year from drinking related deaths......why not fuss about that? people die all the time from drinking and driving the only anti drinking ads I see are anti drinking and driving so why not publicize anti drugs and festivals eh? yeah ok a stupid comment but a relevant point.....
