http://hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77539 It is my considered opinion, that an agnostic athiest, is someone who doesn't know what he doesn't believe in. Therefore: Is a wholey inacurate statement, which contradicts itself. And why am I showing as a guest, even though I am logged in. Obviously another contradiction in the making.
1. Technically, you are correct, though you phrase it in a somewhat disparaging way. 2. Your account is a "Guest" account until you reach a set number of posts.
It's not a contradiction, but it's certainly ignorant. Disbelief is still a belief in that it is not knowledge. What's the difference between that and someone who acknowledges that they do not know that God exists but choose to take it on faith that he does? I guess I really need to know more about it before making such a claim, but why not just call it godless theism? It seems to go against the virtue of critical thinking, which is really the best, if not only, merit of atheism.
Occam does not believe there are many athiests. To occam.an athiest is one who 'Will not accept the possibillity of a direction behind the fundamental workings of reality'. That a 'god' is not possible... This is fundamentally absurd. A 'SPECIES' can theoretically do anyhting we attribute to a god. As we are IGNORANT of the fundamental workings of reality. Who are we amusing little apes to say what is possible? Get real people.... Just about every human being on this planet is an agnostic. Occam
