Sounds good to me, but I eat meat so a good fried stake and some eggs is good in the morning for me. Also, you should try putting some potatoes in foil and throwing them on some coals and after you do it a few times, tastes better than any conventional oven.

I make blueberry pancakes ahead and keep in the cooler. then all you have to do is heat then on a skillet. no mess!!!

Pasta salad in a bid zipper bag, takes up less room then a bowl.

chicken ranch wraps. cook the chicken ahead then cut up add cheese and veggies then some ranch and rool up the tortilla.

those sandwich makers are great too! bread pizza sauce, tooping and cheese, bread close the thing and put in a fire. also great with pie filling. hobo pies

crap when we camp its grilled cheese, scrambles eggs from a box HAHA, granola and sometimes bacon and pb&j. I never drag around steaks or a pot big enough to cook spaghetti..........

if you salt or pepper your meat it will take longer to spoil.

Mmmmmmmm........nuts, beans, cheese, pasta!!!! My bf & I are finally taking our long-awaited first camping trip of the year to a nearby river this long-weekend. I've prepared turkey patties to make on our hibatchi, have some frozen salmon and we have chicken bacon to make spidey wieners (over the fire) & piggie tails (fried in a pan). Some fresh fruit, eggs & clean water. He's bringing a steak for himself as well. We'll probably do potatoes & corn in foil on the coals (apparently wrapping bacon around corn, then in foil makes it taste all yummy and salty). We always have a supply of dry & canned items on hand as well, coffee, spices, soups, veggies, tuna, etc.

I like to mix it up.. if I eat the same thing day after day I get sick of it real quick
So I give myself several options for each meal and try to eat a wide variety of food on the trail.. this is the basics

breakfast- granola, crackers, cheese, dried fruit
or cook up something like eggs and pancakes, sometimes cereal and soymilk

lunch- soup, flatbread, dried fruit, nuts, cheese, hummus
soymilk.. fish every once in a while

snacks - homemade trail mix - various nuts, granola, dry fruit(raisins, apricots, pineapple, banana), m&ms

dinner - Soup followed by pasta or wild rice or couscous or macncheese.. with beans, veggies, cheese, and sometimes fish again.

water water water water water water water
