I love HIM and have been a fan for a good couple of years. I saw them play in Glasgow in january last year and they were amazing!If youve just discovered them, I reccomend you check out the deep shadows and brilliant highlights album and work your way up. I got a couple of their songs. the cover of "dont fear the reaper" is a horrible song. An annoying voice over the enitre second half of the song. very bad.
my friend Lee's band Cathedral supported them recently in London (well not recently actually, end of last year) so I got in on the guestlist and went to see the show. Cathedral were awesome, HIM however were very very mundane. It was also a shame that the audience was filled with 13 year old goth girls in fairy wings who were screaming during every song. They're monotonous music can be forgiven by the fact they're nice people, my sisters claim to faim is she introduced them to Poppers.
Haha, is Lee Dorian a friend of you? I love Cathedral. HIM doesn't do it for me, I guess. I heard their music often enough because there a lot of HIM fans in the Netherlands.
Yes, i know HIM. I have their four albums and listen to them once in a while. I used to adore them (about five years ago). In fact i have no idea why. It's not my taste of music at all in fact. And it's kinda annoying that these 13-year-old girls are so crazy about HIM (although i was one too). It just feels like i'm way too old for that. Damn, i shouldn't feel like that but sometimes it seems to me that i should be emarrassed listening to HIM. Still, i like Ville Valo
Yeah,HIM is love metal,the can be classified in group with ...hmm.. THE 69 eyes... to/die/for... Earlier,i used to love them more....but they have stayed somewhere deep in my heart... And Ville...h,DEar...he is gorgeous...
