I'm starting to get into ska. I've been listening to the Specials lately. I also like Madness. I've heard some other good bands like Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, and the Toasters. Can anyone recommend any more ska bands for me to check out? I'd appreciate it.

the Mighty Mighty Bosstones are awesome , the albums "Devils Night Out" and "Don't Know How To Party" are a must have if you don't mind a bit of punk with your horns.

Try some Prong. Its not Ska or whatever bullshit, but it is good hardcore punk from when punk was really punk.

Wow! I couldn't disagree with you more! In fact, I'm listening to a little Ska number from 1961 performed by a 16 year old Robert Marley. Ska is the father of Reggae. And has evolved and incorporated itself into several different genres. Even some of these punk bands are realizing the magic that is Ska. Why would they incorporate it into their music? Hell, some 80's bands have a taste of Ska in them. Oingo Boingo sticks out in my head. Grunge has died, disco is dead, punk is nothing like it used to be, and I consider it to have died as well. Too whiny and bubblegum now. But Ska lives on! Sucks dick? You poor, tonedeaf, misguided soul.

    How can you like them?

I just think that they are a mediocre band with mediocre music that has nothing to offer me. Nothing special.
