How big do you make the bottom hem of your spinny skirts? I always try and make the hems bigger and bigger, but I can never get them big enough to spin!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but this is really frustrating me... Especially, because my sole reason for living is to spin around in big ol' skirts of doom. :)

    Thanks a lot!

Hm... Maybe I just need to make the waist... Different, then. Cos I make mine like 90 and they never spin right. *wanders off to attempt to fix whatever I did wrong*

Well, how are you making the waists? I am a fan of all things A-line...i think it helps with the spin..

I make the skirts A-line, too. I'll make the biggest part of the waist 10 inches bigger than my waist (So, usually I have around a 35 inch waistband). But it still doesn't spin. Maybe I'm just a bad spinner...

I make my bottom hem around 85-100 depending on the fabric... And make them a-line..

maybe your fabric is to thick, or stiff. My cord skirt and my stiff fabric skirt dont spin, they just kinda puff out all stupid like. But they're still foxy.
