Can anyone tell me what life is like on this campus? If you go there, do you like it?
Can you pretty much not worry about getting caught smoking pot or anything? What's there to do. Any help, in any category, would be great!

I don't go there, and you really need to know what you are getting into before going. Obviously it isn't a traditional college, and you pretty much design your own major. The problem with this is that it is really difficult to transfer credits if you'd need to. Also, the campus population is teeeeeny, less than 3000 people. It's a reasonably hip campus, but it's sort of the trustifarian type. As far as smoking pot, you can pretty much do that on any campus here and get away with it, as long as you aren't smoking in an officer's face.

Again I would just emphisize, visit the campus and spend at least a few days in the city before choosing this school. Oh, and another thing, you have to go for 6 years there to get the same degree that you would at another school in 4 years. They offer 2 bachelor degrees, BA and BS, then you have to take another two years to get a concentration.

That is false; you dont have to go there for 6 years to get the same degree.. first of all, you cant compare evergreen to any other school- there arent majors or minors, instead there are emphasises. Its very different- it's is up to the student to get what they want out of their experience there.

A friend of mine went there, and he told me that it's totally kool. He's a writer, and for being able to survive like a writer you gotta have high self dicipline anyway, so that school was pretty much right for him.

It completely depends what you are going into. If you are studying art, I'm sure it takes however long... I'm going into the sciences, and it would have taken me 6 years to complete what it would take me 3-4 years at any other university. Evergreen is one of those schools that makes you decide whether you want a certain type of atmosphere, or a certain type of education (IN MY OPINION). To each his own. There is obviously a crowd for the school... it's been around a long time.

Also, Green, since I obviously haven't attended the school, do you know how the credits transfer? Since there really aren't majors, and there really aren't grades... how do the credits transfer to a traditional university?
